Well, if anyone is going to find a weird way of doing things, it's going to be me..I still live up to my mother's description of me and always will..I always march to the beat of a different drummer..Sometimes I wasn't sure how to take that..lol But, I liked it, because I liked being unique and different.."Normal" is soooooo boring...Tim says I scare him sometimes, because he can "see" when my mind starts turning and grinding gears, cooking up and scheming lol

Anyway, if you read my last blog, you read that I have taken on the task of weaning myself off of the cancer sticks..This past Saturday has been a week, and still doing it..May not sound like long, but for me, it is..It's boring, out there, and there's been a few times that I've thought "just once", but I didn't..So, instead of a pack a day, a pack is now lasting 2 to 2 1/2 days..As I said, laziness CAN pay off, sometimes lol I've also decided that when I'm out there, I don't sit while I'm smoking; I walk, and yep, I've timed it-5-6 mins..I start as soon as I walk out the door and I pace the entire time..I know that's not much at a time, but I figure every little bit helps; A calorie gone is a calorie gone, no matter how it's gotten rid of..Plus, sometimes I play with the Killer Poodle while I'm at it, so that's a few more..Leave it to me, to figure out a way to "exercise" while doing a bad habit LOL

    So true! My husband maintains a slim 200lbs (ok, so he is a tad chubby *chuckles*) mostly due to pacing while smoking! I can tell you that HAS to be it for certain because he gets little exercise elsewhere. It doesn't really burn too many calories sitting watching sporting events!

    Joy youre doing awsome and if you do beat to a different drummer means you can changes things that some people can not. it only goes to show you that where there is a will there a way and you doing it Good for you I am ver happy for you. stick to your guns and follow the beat of the different drummer LOL

  Now that's a way of exercising that I have never heard of. I love it! Just goes to show how creative you are as well. I guess that marching to a different drummer (which describes me too) is better than being called a black sheep. LOL Have an awesome day!

    You are right, you are doing great and I am so proud of you for smoking less and less and eventually it will be none at all. You are breaking a habit and also starting new healthy ones by getting in your exercise. You are right Walking is additive throughout the day so 5 or 6 minutes here and there really does help.

    Aww Joy, you are doing it! I'm happy you are making that change in your life. I know when I quit .. whew.. But, I did it! You can too. I really believe it. Love your Killer Poodle statement! LOL Every little bit does help. hey.. how about you save that money on something you want? Save for...??

    Good for you, Joy! I can hardly cut back on food for a day, let alone a week. You're doing fabulous with the "sickarettes!"
