WHAT AM I THINKING

WELL FOR STARTERS I WANT TO LOSE THIS WEIGHT BUT I GUESS I DON'T WANT TO WORK AT IT RIGHT NOW. I KNOW WHAT I HAVE TO DO BUT I DON'T.
WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS~~~~I CANNOT TELL YOU. MY MOTIVATION HAS GONE SOMEWHERE BUT I HAVEN'T FOUND IT YET. I NEED TO FIND IT~~~GRAB IT AND BRING IT BACK. I WISH I COULD STAY MOTIVATED EVERY DAY BUT I GET SO FAR AND BAM DOWN I GO AND THEN IT TAKES ME FOREVER TO GET BACK UP AND MOVE AHEAD. I SEE ALL THESE PEOPLE LOSING LIKE 10 LBS A MONTH. HOW DO THEY DO IT IS WHAT I WANT TO KNOW. IS IT HEALTHY?
I NEED TO GET BACK ON THIS TRAIN AND MOVE WITH IT NO MATTER HOW FAST IT IS GOING. I CANNOT FALL OFF AGAIN. SO FAR THIS WEEK I AM OK BUT IT IS ONLY 2 DAYS INTO IT. I JOIN CHALLENGES AND NEVER DO AS WELL AS OTHERS. WHY IS THAT I KNOW I WANT TO DO THIS AND WHAT I HAVE TO DO BUT I LOSE ALL MY KNOWLEDGE AND THEN HAVE TO START OVER. IS THERE ANYONE ELSE OUT THERE THAT FEELS LIKE THIS FROM TIME TO TIME.

Everyone feels this way. :)
But, you are wonderful and deserving and ready! Don't let one slip determine the course of the next day... just keep picking yourself up...and remember, we've got hiking to do together! So we have to prepare!!
Maybe we need to put it on the calendar? Give us a target date?
Watkins Glen is calling us!!!!
And.. I did 9 miles on my bike yesterday alone.. so I'm on my way. ;)

OF COURSE... We ALL feel like that from time to time! And probably more often than we like...

But the thing is that you just have to keep trying. Failure is not the end of the world... its just ONE failure. Don't let it make you give up for a longer time than that ONE failure. Just get back on track as soon as the failure is over.

People who succeed ALWAYS fail... they just keep at it until they succeed more times than they fail. You can DO THIS GIRL!!

    Yep, I am there with you on occasion, I have to force myself to do things and I am not sure what I would do without my sparkfriends to motivate me or get me back on track.

You are doing great because you refuse to give up and I only lose about 1 to 2 pounds a month but the inches are going faster. I have to be satisfied with that.

You can do this , we are in this together.

    You and I must be on the same wave length!

I feel the SAME way! I just want to EAT and Sleep. I know that it is part of the depression that I have, but I didn't think that the brain would sabotage the body, especially when the body has been doing so good!

I also have problems with the challenges. I can do the easy ones. Drinking 8 glasses of water, 10 minutes of meditation, and the other little easy ones. When it comes to doing anything harder... I BLOW IT! The thought is there, but the effort when right out the window!

I feel your pain and frustration!! HUGS AND MORE HUGS!

Just know that you are not alone in what you are feeling. There is a way around this. Maybe, if we put our heads together and think about it, we can come up with our own little challenges to help keep each other motivated.

    YOU can do this! You have to take one day at a time. Be persistant as it will eventually pay off. Look at where you started! Everyone's body is different and no two people will lose weigh the same way and at the same rate. There will be times that you may actually gain weight because you are building muscle. I'm sure that you've heard that muscle weighs more than fat.

I used to always give up, but now I take one day at a time. Take yesterday for example, I was down in the dumps, ready to throw in the towel but then I read your page and saw that you have been making good progress! I was discouraged because the scales stayed the same for a couple of weeks. But then I saw on your page that you too stayed the same a couple of times but then the next week your weight went down. That changed my whole outlook for yesterday! I knew that if I continued to be persistant that the scale would eventually move in my favor. It was YOU that gave me the motivation to not quit!

Focus on ONE day at a time! Be persistant! Don't give up whatever you do!

    Well you can only get sO much advice from people before u actually decide to use it. All I want to say is, stop comparing yourself to others on spark. If you keep doing that, u will never get anywhere. I have yet to lose 10, or even 8 pounds in a month on spark. I focus on me and what I do and u gotta focus on you and what u do. No one is going to make u workout or do the right things, but with a negative attitude, u will continue to repeat ur own deadly cycle. You don't need to jump back into this 100%. Ask yourself to do 10min of activity a few days a week, then up that activity every week. Work on making the right choices in food, and once you feel a lil confident...work on staying with in your calorie ranges.

Self Pity is not allowed because then you will never achieve ur goals.

    Hey, it's ok!!! Slow down a minute and just remember to take it one day at a time!!! Be positive, instead of yah your doing ok this week but it's only two days into it think "yes, two days in a row how great is that!!!!" Hey, you need to start slow and just keep taking baby steps! Ok so let's say that you don't have such a great day for the third day this week. No biggie! Now make a goal that you will reach three days in a row doing ok and keep building from there!!! You have to realize that there is no loosing in this as long as you keep trying!!! Think of it this way, at the end of the month if you only had 10 ok days that is 10 more than if you didn't try at all!!!!!

Just keep building slowly. Taking it slow is the best and only way to reach sucees on this journey!!!! Keep your head up high as you have been sucessful for two days now!!!! No matter what, always hold your head high as you are trying.

And yes, I have these days as well!!!! I get sort of negative about my progress at times to, pretty normal really. The trick is to not get so negative or hard on yourself that you give up all together!

    I'm there. It seems that every time I start to see progress either in my workouts or diet I then either stop working out or start eating a bunch of junk again. Try checking out the motivation section and reading some articles there. I know they help me. I also read my past journal entries from when I was feeling really good about myself. Lastly, don't compare yourself to how other people do at challenges. You are challenging yourself to be a better person, not better than the other people.
