I just....

Tuesday, August 19, 2008

quit my job. I don't know exactly how to feel right now. I really liked what I did. I am a physical therapist and have been working in pediatrics for the last 8 years. I was recently offered a job working 17 less hours per week, but making close to 20 thousand dollars more/year with a home health company that works with the geriatric population. After much praying about it I watched God align everything for me to have this job and spend more time with my own children as well. I know it was the right decision, but I still feel a bit sad.... I guess sometimes knowing something is right doesn't make it easy..... Anyways, I will be with the old company for 30 days and then I will start with the "new" thing that the Lord is placing in my life. Tomorrow I have to tell all the people that I have been working with for the last 8 years. I'm not looking forward to that. Please pray that I have the strength and favor of the Lord throughout this phase of transition in my life! I really do appreciate all your prayers and support. Thanks for reading....

It is a wonderful thing knowing that All of our steps are ordained for us, we just walk in the path.
Good luck and keep us posted. Limit yourself to only a few whoppers! :)

    You are in my prayers!

Did you know that the "grieving process" isn't just for the passing of a loved one/friend? The grieving process is used in all aspects of our lives. Just something for you to think about while you go through this transition in your employment. I can hear you grieving the loss of time with co-workers, the routine of your days there, etc... plus, people don't like change, so you have that on your mind as you travel into another area of your life. You will be looking back on this, Thanking God for your time there, and for what He is fixin' to do in your life. Enjoy the process... no need to fear.

Also, as one who cares for a 92 yr old daily, you will be so blessed in your new job by the ones you are going to care for and WHO NEED YOU. God is sending you to them. You will learn from them, and be grateful for the lessons, and the extra $ and time with your family. God is good, always.

Hope you made it through, with smiles as well as tears. emoticon

    Angela,
Girl you already have the favor and the strength of the Lord. It's not easy saying goodbye....emotionally hard but you are equiped to close this door and walk through the opened door that the Lord has for you! I am excited for you and what is coming your way. It will be ok. It's not always easy when you are in transition but it will be ok. I am so thankful to the Lord for what he is doing in your life and your career! I am more excited for you than I am anything! Enjoy girl! God is moving in your behalf!

I am proud of you. I know first hand (I recently did the same thing) how hard it is to leave a job that you have been at and loved for a long time. With trust in God and faith though you CAN do this. You can get through these last few weeks where you are and begin to build the bonds at your new job. Congratulations! Just think of all the extra time you will have with your family, and the extra money I'm sure your family needs.

Way to go!

HI Angela. Just remember to fully rely on God. He will direct your path. I can identify with your statement that just because it might be time for us to make a change, doesn't make it any easier. But remember that God does have a plan for your life and he is ordering your steps. Trust in him completely and remember it took a lot of courage to switch careers.
