Just took alittle vacation, but not in spirit

Thursday, August 14, 2008

If any of you have ever had a case of computer or internet burnout, you know what I'm talking about..

I just had to get away from it for a bit, but I've not swayed from my goals, and such..Tomorrow, I'll be on, filling in the days I missed on my trackers, posting to assure everyone I'm still kicking lol

Had the sonogram on my leg, today...Of course, the tech couldn't LEGALLY tell me what, if anything, he saw, but he told me if there were problems, then they wouldn't let me leave..So obviously, since I'm here, evidently, the bad veins have been ruled out..I'm beginning to suspect my bad hip, which is my right..The few days that I've been at the computer just long enough to check my main email account, about once a day, my leg didn't swell as bad as when I'm sitting in my computer chair; At the moment, I'm trying out using a stool to rest my foot on, to maybe take some of the pressure off of my right hip and see what that does..Worse comes to worse, if that's what it is, I'll just have to limit myself to small amounts of time through out the day, instead of waiting (like now) and try to sit for hours at a time, getting caught up..

Anyway, just wanted to let ya'll know that I'm still here, and still working my tush off *looks*, ok, TRYING to work my tush off emoticon lol I shall see ya'll tomorrow, sometime..Darn dogs next door, won't shut up, which in turn gets mine to going, which includes the Killer Poodle running up and down the length of my body from my head and back, so not much sleep past couple nights..Ahhh starting already...Anyone have any muzzles?? lol

Joy, hope by now you have some indication of what's happening and a good prognosis. Hang in there.

As a matter of fact I do...but it's for a small dog....will that do? I know I will have to figure out a way to get my computer time under control...I'm working in a way to do that...let me know if you figure it out.

Muzzles, hey? I need those too for when the neighbor kids come over. Our dogs don't like those kids at all! I sure hope your tests are okay and that they can figure out how to help you. WE'll do what we can to support you through whatever it is you need done. Just keep us tuned it!

I hope you get the results soon and I do hope they are great. I wish you would find out what is making your leg swell so you know how to treat it and not worry.

I am so glad you updated and I totally understand about the burnout some days.

Yes, I have had days where I just don't want to get on the computer.

Just try not to fall off the wagon.

What would we do without our crazy dogs? You gotta love them, but sometimes it is exhausting!

I hope they figure out what is going on with your leg. Pain can dampen even the most optimistic person's spirit. Hang in there! I am glad we are teammates! emoticon

Glad to hear from you, Joy! I have a problem with my leg when I sit in front of the computer too much also. I've found that the leg works better and gets rid of the fluid better if I do WATP for 20 to 30 minutes a day. Moving the muscles like that seem to massage the veins and get the fluid moving. I also have more luck with siting for 15 minutes at the computer, then finding a chore to do (on my feet) for 30 to 45 minutes - then repeat! What ever works for you.

I'll be going on vacation Saturday for 2 weeks and you will probably not hear from me for that time. I wont' know when I'll be around a computer with internet.

Take care of yourself!

Hugs! Beverly
