Ok, not making me wanting to eat, or anything like that, although I would like to hurt a couple of attorneys and a judge (no offense to either profession if any happen to read this)!

My son was SUPPOSE to finally get this divorce and custody mess over with this morning, at 9..He got there, just to be told by his attorney that neither he nor Andrea's attorney had all their papers in order, and the judge only gave them two dates to choose from for a continuance, which one was in Oct, the other in Nov..Sooooo, now he has to wait until November! But, as his attorney said, on one hand, that's kind of in their favor, because Kristynn will have been in school for 2 months by that time, and the judge they have is big believer in not moving a child from the school she/he is used to, if it's all possible, and this will be Kristynn's second year at this school, which Lee and Andrea, both agreed to..Lee is still in the same town as the school; Andrea, on the other hand, felt a need to move to another, 10 miles away..So for at least for now, the shared custody stays in place..

I'm just so tired of worrying and stewing over this, though not near as much as Lee is, I'm sure..I just feel bad for Kristynn having to be in the middle of this, though Lee is trying his best to make sure she's not involved as much as possible, though we all know the saying "Little pitchers have big ears" lol She's her father's daughter; If she can get a chance to listen, she will.. lol

Ok, I'm finished griping.. lol

That kind of thing be tough on a child. I am glad to hear that they are keeping that in mind and trying to make this as easy on her as possible. Just stay strong and this will all be a thing of the past before you know it.

Family court is just a pain for everyone and doesn't work quickly. It does sound like things are moving in the right direction and that after being settled in a specific school, a judge would need a compelling reason to allow another move. The paperwork end of things is frustrating, too. I mean, they do this for a living - why do they screw it up so often? I went through years of custody battles with my ex (not my choice.) He was bitter and wanted me to suffer, but really, it was our kids who suffered. I wish you and your son and grandchild the best possible solution to your situation.

It really can be frustrating when the person you are paying to fill out the right forms and make sure everything is taken care of is not. I am praying that this situation resolves quickly by the date and the Judge does not think it wise to move the child from school especially since the mom only lives 10 miles away.

sending you big goonie hugs for not going to the fridge.

    ((( hugs )))))))))))))))))))))))

Yes... it will be nice when it's finally over. These are stressful times to go through... but you are handling it pretty well. Just keep hanging in there... next thing you'll know... it'll be Christmas and this will all be over with.

Joy I can truly empathize. My sister and her hubby are just separated but she finally has a financial settlement for child support, got it yesterday, it started in April and while he tried to get away without paying, he wasnt really fighting it, since she took him to court. Hate to see what happens when things are truly contested The biggest issue for my sister is that hubby dont give two figs for the kids and they know it
