Hostess puts beef fat in cupcakes!!!!!!

Thursday, July 31, 2008

I just thought I would let you know you should be ready the back of boxes. The 100 calorie packs of Hostess cupcakes have beef fat in them. As a vegitarian I find that un acceptable. (Not to mention gross) If you feel the same way here is a link to their site to email them and tell them how you feel.

Dear Ms. Kathryn Brandys ,

Dear Ms. Brandys,

Thank you for your thoughtfulness in contacting us regarding the ingredients used in our products.

"Beef Fat" when noted, is a very small trace used in the creamy fillings of our cakes for taste. Also, it is used in a trace amount in the vegetable oil frying medium. Please be assured we will forward your comments to the Bakery Managers.

Thank you for contacting us, and we hope this has answered your questions about our ingredients.
