Wow Sore and didnt even do anything!

I worked out for 13 days straight. Yesterday I wasn't feeling so well. I decided to take a day off from exercise. The more time that went by the more stiff and sore I became. I cant believe it. I didnt do anything yesterday and today I can barely move! My legs hurt so bad. I think I should work out everyday just to keep my muscles loosened up. What do u think? OR am I supposed to work out one day then let my muscles tense up the next day and get back to it the day afterwards? And its not just my legs, its my whole body... Opinions please... Thanks

    I agree that cardio can be done every day but when it comes strenght training, you do need to let the muscles rebuild from a workout.

    I do upper body one day and lower body the next. Do this if you feel the need to workout every day. Your muscles will not grow if not given time to repair.

    I think it depends on what you're doing. Cardio exercises can be done every day, but if you're strength training, you should rest those muscles a day before exercising them again. Look at some of the articles in the Healthy Lifestyle section, under Fitness, Exercise Basics, for example: Add Strength Training For Lean Muscles, or Do's & Don'ts of a Successful Fitness Plan. Too much strength training could hurt.
