back from vacation & fatter than ever!

Saturday, July 26, 2008

Wow! I didn't realize a person could gain so much weight on vacation. It doesn't help when you are kind of forced to eat out every night for two weeks. Even if you make good choices sometimes, the food at a restaurant is not prepared the way you would have done in at home. I don't even want to share what I weigh on this site I'm so embarrassed. I'm right back to where I started 2 years ago. GGRRR!!! How did I let this happen? I'm not in the mindset to lose either, which is really scary. I'm so pissed at myself for winding up back here.

I understand where you're coming from. my in-laws came to town a few weeks ago and I did the same thing. Try to think out it this way, yes you overate but now you know what to expect the next time you go on vacation and can develop strategies to still keep it fun and keep it healthy. Try not to beat yourself up. The fact that you know you need to get back on track is a positive thing. You're headed in the right direction. emoticon

I think that would be one thing that scares me about Vacation. There is all the choices of what you can eat and the servings sizes are like 3 times the size we would eat at home. don't be so hard on yourself. you might be back at where you started a couple years ago but remember you have lost the weight once and with motivation and determination you will lose it again. I lost weight before my met my husband and in 2 years I gained it back and than some. If you need motivation and support you have come to the right place to get it. good luck with your weight loss journey
