BUSY!!!

Friday, July 25, 2008

Whew, I am busy this week! Wow. I love being a captain, and I love being back in school, and I am SOSOOOOOO anxious for my husband to get home, but WHEW! I'm struggling to get in my cardio right now since all of my gas is being spent getting to and from the Ed Center (education) on post for the computer lab. The Y is on the other side of town, and the pool on post (and the gym that contains it) is closed for remodeling. My knees can't take as much walking or even elliptical training as they can swimming, so a 20 min walk per day is my max.

Oh, and my fridge's motor burned out (I think) so I'm having to throw out EVERYTHING. Deli meats, fresh meats, veggies, fruits, and all of my frozen stuff. It's at least $200 worth of meat alone, then you add in the biscuits, veggies, fruits, frozen soups and things, that's a lot of money. My apartment won't fix it soon enough since we didn't notice until all of the cold had leaked out of the fridge. Actually, that's probably why it died in the first place, the seal wouldn't seal anymore. If I'd been smart I would have turned the fridge down (temp up) and duct taped the door shut or something, but I wasn't. C'est la vie, I guess. This means I'll have to buy non-refrigerated items in sizes that aren't going to leave leftovers. Meh.

So, how is everyone else? lol emoticon emoticon

That's a bummer about your fridge. Do you have insurance? If so, that should help cover some of the costs. I hope that the pool and gym open back up again soon. Hang in there!

That sucks about your fridge! Maybe you could keep a cooler (I know that requires adding ice) for necessary stuff like milk.

Good luck & hope your fridge gets fixed soon!
