Man was I disappointed...

Monday, July 21, 2008

I have been eating Lean Cuisine Lasagna with meat sauce for YEARS and I loved them. I put one in the microwave and I failed to see NEW RECIPE on the box. I was eating it and my mouth started feeling tingly. I started to get a hot taste and after I quit (couldn't eat all of it) my mouth and tongue tingled for about 15 min. I looked and it looks like they changed it to bring the sodium down from 690 to 590. IMO this lasagna was ruined. I ate 1 a week. I loved them. I hate when they mess with something I love that I can have on my program and I also hate when they stop maing products I love. Weight Watchers is good at that. They had a few products I loved that they took off the market.
Don't mess with my food. I get angry! emoticon emoticon

OHHHH, that really bugs me too. Why don't they just leave well enough alone. UGH! Just when you find something that works. That's happened to me SO many times, not only with foods, but other things as well. Bath an Body shop at the mall, as soon as I find a scent that I love, it goes out never to be seen again. Oh, an other things too. It wouldn't be SO bad if the replacement was better, but often times it's just not better, but worse.

Well, they'll have to deal with sales that go down now, in fact, I would leave a comment on their (lean Cuisine"s) website letting them know that you're disappointed with the change. They are interested in stuff like that.

Awhh man, it stinks they tried to fix something that wasn't broken! I can't judge though, I never make recipes the same way twice so it is a shot in the dark for dinner every night... the boys keep Domino's phone number handy!

I wonder what made your mouth tingle? I'm sorry about the recipe change. Maybe you'll find another replacement meal.

You made me laugh with the comment about messing with your food! So funny.

I hear you! I so hate when a product I love gets changed or discontinued!

Write to the company and let them know your disappointment. Years ago my dad loved a product, Nestle's cocoa...It was a light powder...then they "improved" it to a granulated mix. My dad was so upset! He clipped a cartoon that said "They improve the food so much, ya can't eat it" and he sent it to Nestles with his comments. He received a standard ...thank you for contacting us...bla bla bla. Dad never enjoyed that cocoa again! But I do think you should let them know you dislike their messing with success. I am "angry" that the food companies are downsizing "half-gallon" ice cream! Oh, they do try to trick consumers!! :-(

Terri ; Wow ! You do get angry; I'll have to remember that ! Haha ! I know what you mean; food companies can't leave well enough alone ! If they have a good product, leave it alone ! ( don't be trying to "improve" something which doesn't need to be made better ! ) Don't get me started ! I also have a problem with them discontinuing items which I am quite fond of ! That gets "me" angry ! So let's calm down and chill out now, shall we ? emoticon Joani

I don't know why companies have to mess with recipes. If the product is selling leave it alone. I always watch out if something is "New and Improved". Adding salt and pepper is not the same as having it cooked in the food.
