So far, so good

So I completed day 1 of my "start over" yesterday. I exercised really well (cardio) and - this is the biggie - ate clean all day. Not that I wasn't tempted to hint about ice cream after dinner - I was. But I didn't. (It helped that the field behind our house caught on fire right after dinner and we had 3 fire stations trying to get to it - a lot of excitement!)

Today I slept in. I got up and my bg was low so I had a glass of juice and then fell back asleep. I intended to get back up, but I was just too tired. By nature, I am a night owl. By training, I became a lark (morning person). I really had to work on it, but I did it. Then vacation came and I slipped back into my nature and man is it hard to get out of it. I've only got 2 weeks til I'm back at school full time, so I'd better figure it out!!!!

I'm taking the kids to the water park today - have already packed a super-clean, super-healthy lunch. LOTS of colors (in veggies and fruits and whole grains). I'm so proud of my kids for enjoying the healthy life. When we get home we're going to hike up to the fire site and take a look at what burned. Then, it's video for the kids while I get in my weights. I WILL WORK OUT THIS AFTERNOON!!!!
