The last time I weighed was 7/3 and I was 141. I left around 2pm for a cabin at the lake and would be back Sunday afternoon. My daughter-in-law organized the trip and I was assigned a lasagna for 14 people Saturday night, bottled water, fruit salad, fruit, bread, sandwich meat, etc. I also brought my cereal and let everyone know that I would not be eating the bacon and eggs due to my high cholesterol. The trip was a huge success. I believe all 14 of us had a good time. I even feel closer to many of them since being able to spend extra time with them. My husband and I found a great trail through the woods around the lake and I was able to get at least an hour of fun cardio in every day. Besides the bacon and eggs, I ate whatever everyone else was eating for meals. That included a cheeseburger, chili, cornbread, lasagna, and pancakes. I drank water and carried a bottle with me everywhere. I am extremely happy to report that I did not gain any weight whatsoever. In fact I think I lost about a quarter of a pound. (My scale measures in increments of half a pound, but it had a hard time deciding between 140.5 and 141 this morning.) Now I know that this is becoming a lifestyle change. I didn't feel deprived in any way. I had fun. I didn't feel like I had to eat different from anyone else and no one seemed to notice or care if I did. I remember not too long ago I had such a hard time with weekends because I would gain the weight back that I had worked so hard to lose during the week. It seems as though those days are over. Eating well and exercising have become a habit, one that I will hold onto!
