So hard...

Wednesday, June 25, 2008

I'm struggling. I can't seem to find a way to put all of my emotions aside, and focus on myself for a change. I keep reading and re-reading motivational pages, blogs, articles, etc., but I just can't seem to grasp it. What can I do?? Does anyone out there have any tips on fitting in a healthy way of living? Please help.

Living healthy, exercising, and eating right is a very overwhelming thought. The way I got around it was to make little changes. First I knew before anything else that I need to get moving so my first little change was to walk at least 3 times a week no matter what. Once I got into the habit of that I added one more day a week for my walk. Now I walk 6 days a week and I even jog a little. When I first started out I never thought in a million years I would try jogging.

Just small changes at a time. You could start even smaller and say for example if you snack while watching tv measure you snacks out. Don't deny yourself but use moderation and portion control.

Write down your typical day and then find ways you can make small changes. Remember! Small changes end up growing to big changes!

Good Luck!!!!

I think the best thing to do is tell yourself you deserve it. I once heard this saying that I repeat to myself every time I want to eat something bad "nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" think about how good it will feel once you have reached your goals!
