Meatless meals. I try to plan one evening menu a week that is meatless. Sometimes this means going meatless twice during the week as most recipes make enough for four, but there are only two of us. My husband isn’t big on the idea, but he doesn’t complain. I think he’s actually finding that some of them are pretty tasty. On these days my nutrition stats usually look really good.
Anything goes Sunday. Every Sunday (sometimes Saturday, depending on our social schedule) I have set up a release valve. That is the day I can eat whatever I want, within reason. This helps curb my most severe cravings during the week. I usually see an extra pound on the scale the day after, but it goes away again in another day.
