I am a nibbler I am learning through trial and error; grab fruit ,drink water or clean something until my yen has passed or at least subsided somewhat I have always liked to have something in my hand I am a former smoker I guess it has been 15 or 20 years since I smoked but the something in your hand has stayed when I was younger and a lot more active it did not bother me and I did not gain weight but I do now and I like(vanity) to look ok in my jeans So this is really a talk to me no one else if I can get me convinced then I will be happy

I do like some hand work but the thing that keeps my me busy is my kindle I love it , I can read play cards or check on my mail. I do some needle work when it is cool but it stays pretty nice here as I live about 35 miles from the beach and my grandchildren like to go and spend some time there . My daughter just retired and we plan to do a lot of that . She had 29 years with the feds and is now enjoying time at home

I am a smoker but I don`t smoke in the house so I don`t smoke a lot. I crochet in the house to keep my hands busy.

I don't think I will ever be able to give up nibbling...I am on Weight Watchers which you mentioned you've tried. I find it really great that I can veggies and fruits for free points...since I am an emotional these come in handy. I have tried dealing with it and not eating, but that is a hard road to tow. I have had some success, but so many years of eating ad nauseum is hard to replace, you know?

I am a nibbler, too. In fact, if a little nibble is good alot of nibbling is better.
I am an emotional eater and have a problem with portion control. Food is love.....the more the better. I have to keep a journal and no sense in lying to myself. At the end of the day I can log the amount of food and calories eaten.

Hi there buddy,
My new snack is grape tomatoes. They are pretty, delicious and very few points. I hate to miss a weekly WW meeting. Even though I have a scale and I have friends, the meetings keep me focused.
I have hot cereal and lots of fruit for breakfast. This keeps me full until lunch when I make sure I eat something even if I'm not hungry.
Remember peanut butter and celery from when we were kids? That snack sticks to the ribs also. (1 Tbl. goes a long way)

Just keep substituting with healthy snacks and activity for those crazy cravings! I know when I first started exercising daily, my appetite really increased.
Do you do needlework or knitting? I knit and embroider, that keeps my hands busy.
