New Goals Set

A lot has happened since my last entry. I went through the holidays without giving much attention to a healthy lifestyle and I gained weight. When the new year came, I did not make resolutions, I made a set of goals instead. By moving toward a goal, if you are doing better at the end of the year than you were at the beginning, then you have accomplished much. If you are not where you want to be at the appointed time, continue the goal from a better starting position. When I fall, I pick myself up, continue in a forward direction, and remind myself that I have not failed because the year is not over. Resolutions carry with them a stronger sense of failure when you fall because you were not perfect. There is the idea that you must start over at the beginning and it makes you want to give up. (This goes along with Two Degree Changes as mentioned in my main page text.) It is all about attitude and expectations. Donít try to be perfect, try to do better than you did yesterday one day at a time.
