We went out for bkfst, then went over to the Eco-tour place - got suited up with lifejackets, climbed into the kayaks (watching DH do this was worth it!), paddled about a mile in a lagoon lined with mangroves, beached the kayaks, hiked about 20 minutes on this deserted cay to the far end where there were bizarre rock formations from volcanic activity (you could even see the vein of rock where the lava shot up the chute). Saw cool stuff in the tide pool - baby urchins, a chiton, a brittle or spiny star. And there was a blow hole in the rocks, so when the waves hit it was like a geyser shooting up!!!!! Then hiked back to the beach, and snorkeled for about 45 minutes, saw lots of juvenile fish, some huge fish, a mama and baby barracuda, and several Casseopia jellyfish, which are totally weird looking (like pulsating bubbles!). Then kayaked back.
Then went out for a big lunch, we were both famished after all of that exercise.
It was about a 4 hour trip - just totally FUN!!!!!! - and I'm estimating (based on SP's fitness tracker) I burned about 1800 cals. Wooohoooooooooooo!
