Donating My Body To Science! :-)

Thursday, May 08, 2008

A little while back another Sparkie mentioned that Brown University's National Weight Control Registry was looking for volunteers who have lost a significant amount of weight and kept it off for a significant period of time.

Well, I signed up and this week I found out that they accepted me into their ongoing study! Woo Hoo!

They are looking for recruits on an ongoing basis folks, so if any of you *Big Losers* are interested...? There's a link on their web site (above url).

I'll buck their trend as they say the majority of successful losers who volunteer have taken a low-fat approach and very few are low-carbers like myself.

Still, I think it's a VERY worthy project and am tickled to be a part of it!

Here are some links to articles in which the NWCR and Dr. Rena Wing have been featured:

C'mon and join me, if you'd like!
