Actually it's a four day weekend. I developed a very unattractive and painful blood blister on the bottom of my heel on Wednesday, so Thursday I was hobbling around and decided not to walk the three and a half miles back and forth to school. The sad thing? I was more upset about not getting my exercise in for the day then missing class. Don't tell anyone. It's almost all better now, so I'm going to get some good cardio in today.
My now three-day weekend is chock full of good intentions. I've got a slue of homework to do, studying for some exams next week, lots of projects for work to catch up on, a $50.00 gift card to Home Depot from my Landlords (Best. Landlords. Ever.) that is just begging to be spent on flowers for my yard. Of course, all of this homebody respectful adult behavior is really just a ruse for the wild drunken parting and unsafe sex with strangers I'll be having. Really. I'm serious. Stop laughing now. Gesh.
I hope to get a few hours of nothingness in this weekend as well. We rush so much in our lives, that we forget how important it is for all of us to play hooky once in a while and just do nothing. Having time to unwind and process the week helps the new week start on a fresh, happy, non-psychotic foot. Slackerness, my fine Sparkers, is an important part of a healthy diet.
