I have always loved working out, but for some reason since the beginning of this year I had not been exercising as consistently as I would have liked. I would keep tabs on my workouts, but then when a few busy days interrupted my routines I would get frustrated and take off up to a week from my workouts.
Well, as a solution I decided to find opportunities for smaller workouts instead of allowing myself only to do 1 longer workout. So every morning before work I do a 10 minute workout to get myself going for the day. I find that it helps get my circulations going and warms my muscles up to make me more flexible. And believe it or not, this small about of activity gives me much more energy and stamina throughout my day. Even on a day like today, after working for 12 hours straight, I came home and did another 50 minute cardio dvd and I feel great! Before, on my days where I worked 12 hour shifts I just wanted to sit down and surf the web. And now since I can count my 10 mintues as a workout, I will not feel so bad if I miss doing a 30+ workout after work. I know that I will get another chance the next day.
Now I am looking for more dvds full of 10 minute routines to start my days off with!
