Ok, I've been chugging along and I've definitely gotten in a good habit of doing 5-6 days of cardio, 2-3 days of stretching/yoga, and 1-2 days of weights. Next, I'm looking at challenging myself with a Cancer Fund raiser where I'm going to ride either 25 miles or 48 miles (I doubt I'll be able to work up to a century ride within two months!) I haven't lived in the mountains for too long, so I could be in over my head. But I need to work toward the next level of health.
I've plateaued again, but it's my fault. After I traveled a bit last month (which always seems to throw off my rhythm) I know I'm not being as careful with my eating, so I'm going to re-focus on that this week and see if I can get back into the swing of things.
The good news is that because I'm in such a great habit of working out, my slackin' hasn't put the pounds a-packin'! I've just held steady at the same weight loss for about 4 weeks.
Lesson learned: Life will throw some curve balls, but these good exercise habits I'm developing will help me during those times.
