So I'm thinking about becoming vegetarian

Friday, April 18, 2008

an ovo-lacto-vegetarian. If I feel better being a vegetarian I will most likely cut the ovo-lacto part out too. If anyone reads this and has any suggestions that don't involve soy or quorn I would really appreciate it. I've thought about this for quite some time but lately it just seems to make more sense to me and to my body. I plan on slowly eliminating the meats out of my diet and eating more grains and legumes.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions/advice/recipes that anyone can provide!

I hardly eat beans and I've never eaten quorn. I've heard about it on the Internet but never saw it outside of packages in the frozen food section. I don't care for soy. I'm going muscles despite that my diet is 'protein poor' according to the stats on my nutrition tracker. I've never reached the minimal amount suggested by the daily tracker.

I have to try really hard to get 40 grams a day. My suggestion is don't beat yourself up if you can't get the minimal amount of protein suggested by the nutrition tracker.

I am Vegan and you can use Almond Milk which is very good or Rice Milk. These are both good options. I put my first blog up tonight. Recipe for African Sweet Potato Peanut Stew. Please check it out for me. I have other pictures of vegan foods on my page too. Also belong to "Living a Vegan Lifestyle" if you are interested. It is a new team but the leaders, Jenna & Todd are both in hospital (I'm sad about that). Jeremy & Patricia
