Wow! What a journey! I've learned a lot over the last two weeks.
I've mostly learned possible reasons for gaining so much weight while only eating once a day. The one that sticks out the most in my mind is "Starvation Mode". I didn't realize I was doing this to myself.
The Confusing Calorie article states:
The body has a protective mechanism. When calories drop too low the body reacts as if it is starving and tries to conserve energy. It will lower your metabolism, conserve calories and fat, and you will not burn calories as quickly. This results in a slower weight loss or even no weight loss.

I've really had to struggle to eat the 1200 calorie minimum every day. My body is just not use to this. However, I have lost 8.2 pounds! That's 26% of my first weight goal. What a great start!
