My e-mails...actually answered!

Friday, April 11, 2008

Ok, so basically I'm referring to my last two blogs so you can read those if you want background information.

I recently complained about weight watcher's muffins. I e-mailed them asking why they are now smaller and fall apart. I actually got an e-mail back! This is what they said:

Thank you for your inquiry. I just received word back in regards to your question about the muffin size. Mary Jo Schultz, VP of Regulatory Affairs stated:

'The muffins were reduced in size by 5 grams to insure all muffin varieties were of the same net weight. We had to introduce a new variety at 66g and the decision was made to reduce the original 71 gram muffins to 66g as well.'

In regards to the muffin crumbling, it sounds as though it may have been stale. "

She then said that I could e-mail my address and box code and get a coupon. So that's pretty cool!

I also wrote in to Glamour because I loved their swimsuit special in their May 2008 issue (on stands now! lol) I loved that they actually gave advice to both pear AND apple shapes (us apples are always getting ignored). And I suggested that it would be even more awesome if some amazing designer created some cute swimsuit with sleeves to help us with arm issues. They have things to cover thighs, why not arms?

They responded :

"Dear Reader,

Thanks for writing to us about the swimsuits featured in our May 2008 issue. I don't think we've ever heard that suggestion before, but it makes sense--a suit with sleeves! I've forwarded your letter to our fashion editors for their consideration. Thanks for your letter, and please keep us posted on your responses to upcoming issues. Take care!"

So after I saw that my letter was printed in Elle and I actually received responses from the people I've been writing to, I feel good!

Last year I bought a Butterball boneless turkey breast that was so salty you couldn't eat it. I had to send 3 different emails before I got to the right place concerning it. Butterball told me that they added the salt to make it taste better.....they would check and see if there had been a glitch in the amount of salt used in the lot number I had. They sent me a coupon for $10 off Butterball products. I've emailed others about how I like their products and received coupons for money off or free products. Companies love to have feedback positive or negative about their products. Keep up sending those emails. Hugs, Shirley
