Cranky. Bloated. Achy.
Woke up to an oh-so-happy day. I didn't get much done in the way of exercise, since I really detest exercise when I'm at my worst during a period. Happy periods? Ha. As if such a thing could ever exist.
I did stroll around my office building. I guess that might count as getting 15 minutes of exercise. Not very good exercise though.
I also felt food challenged today. I was craving sugar horribly, so I reached for a bag of red vines. I only had like 6, but it was probably more than I should have had. It's like 130 calories just for 4. I think I'm going to need to figure out how to fulfill cravings in a healthier manner. Maybe some dried fruit and nuts? Calorie rich but better than red vines I imagine. I guess this is what Sparkpeople is for.
My workplace is what some books would call a "sabotager". Today I was offered: bags of pretzels, cheesecake, beer, and assorted fried and sugary appetizers. My workplace was hosting one of its favorite events, the beer bash, and wow, it's a total diet buster.
I did manage to triumph over adversity though. I reached for the pretzels and sidestepped the cheesecake. And despite the urge to go, I completely avoided the beer bash and all its perilous yummy companions. Yay me.
Tomorrow my workplace is offering even more free food: fruits & veggies and BBQ. I'm telling you...sabotager.
Maybe tomorrow I'll take a longer walk at the park next to my office. It's time I set some goals.
