Gold's Gym just opened in my area and had a great promotion going on , no sign up fee and a low monthly charge. I am excited as it is closer to my home than the last gym I belonged to, but this one will have a lap pool and I love the water.
I was surprised to learn that Gold's was focusing more on women than they did in the past, even having yoga (mostly seen as a women's activity but is really not) and Zumba.
The only thing I have to organize now is what to do in the mean time. I am 27 weeks away from the Breast Cancer 3day and feel I really need to get moving. The official training schedule does not start until 24 weeks, but that is no excuse not to start.
I have been watching my eating and was going to water exercise once a week for one hour (which I loved) so I did start up ok. I also started to get back into yoga at home, but started out too hard and just got a bit frustrated.
I will be having my lipid profile done next week and am excited to see if some of my lifestyle changes effect my cholesterol levels. For the whole time my results have been high overall, 200, with low HDL under 40 and high LDL more than 120. Now I am in menopause the numbers could be changed by that alone, in the wrong way. I will post when those results are back.
Yeah, spring starts on March 20th!
