End of week 1 - FlatBelly Jumpstart

Started the Prevention Magazine "FlatBelly Diet" on Sunday, 2 March 2008. The first four days are an "Anti-Bloat Jumpstart" where the specified foods to eat are very limited. After that, the real diet begins.

The philosophy is that you lose a lot of weight in four days to motivate you, then start the real work. Unfortunately, it seems to stop there. There's a book available, but I ordered mine over a week ago and (since it's not Amazon.com) it's not here yet. They provide a meal plan, but finding the recipes on the web site is challenging - and sometimes impossible. They have a decent web site but because the site is new, there are lots and lots of bugs. They have some discussion groups, but the messages posted are mostly gripes about the site...just a lot of not-very-happy people.

Be that as it may. I think it's back to WeightWatchers diet because I know it works long-term and I know how to navigate their site. I think I'm going to stick with SparkPeople for the buddies, though. We seem to be a bunch of much happier people!
