I have waited a long time to actually start doing this. I feel like I have so much to say, but that it will get boring really fast, so I will try to not ramble on.
My experience with Spark has only been positive. As I have said on the message boards, I have now lost over 140.6 lbs. I am finally blown away by what I have done. I still must loose another 25 lbs to reach my first long term goal: 200 lbs. That would be the least I have weighed since about 1976. After that, I will see how much farther I want to go. To be honest, I feel even loosing that last 20 lbs is within my reach. And I can say in the last 30 years, I NEVER had that feeling. That is why I think Spark has been so helpful to me.
I feel each one of us has to find his or way to work within the program and recognize which aspects of it are the most helpful and to use them as much as possible.
For me, the number one most important point is the daily conversations with yourself. I do it as often as I can, reinforcing the positive aspects of the changes that I am making. I even think one should start this even before you start the program. To change your way of thinking.
Maybe you can start with: I really want to change myself. I am tired of the way I feel with all this weight. With Spark I can eat plenty of food that tastes good. I don't have to "suffer" to loose weight. I just have to learn to look at food in a different way. I have the tools now and can add them into my life little by little.
And then as you make more progress: I feel so much better. There is plenty of food to eat. I am so excited about the changes in my body. I can fit into my old clothes again. I can get out and move around more. I feel good.
You will of course find your own things for your positive reinforcement. YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL
