Last week I ate an average of 1300 calories per day which is actually low, I am supposed to have around 1500 to maintain. If you take out what I burnt I had and average of 900 calories per day which is below the Base Metabolic Rate for me. All that and I have only maintained my weight. I am getting frustrated at this 2kg I am STILL holding from Christmas. I dont want to go lower on calories because I dont want it to be muscle loss, I love my running performance at the moment. I do think I have fallen into my old habit of eating largemeals again. I think I need to concentrate on eating a small meal (they say fist size!!) and leaving 3hours between eating. Maybe that was one of the winners when I was losing the weight because I had to keep my calorie intake so low, meals were necessarily small anyway. I will go back to small meals, 3hours between, high protein low fat and heaps of water. Also have found that if I really am wanting to 'eat' rather than have a protein shake during the day, a small tub of non-fat yogurt with my protein powder works wonders and is not much different to having it with milk.
