11.7.11---storms bring change

Again, waited too long to type, BUT, can finally type with naked/injured finger. Still not allowed to do anything naughty with my right hand, though. (I did chop veggies for tonight's dinner, though, a modified Brazilian recipe. Yes, it was hairless.)

I'm so tired. I thought that the end of D.S.T. would mean oodles of extra sleep, but I guess that's a myth. I did get in 15 minutes of rowing (more than I've done the past month), played a pretend soccer game with youngest for 10 minutes and I'm about to do SOMETHING to burn energy for 20 minutes. Goal is still 60 minutes a day.

Beatrice Arthur* is due, DH has a phone interview tomorrow (yay!), kids have a TON of after-school stuff suddenly, client didn't pay DH on time for work (out of cash), everything is movingtoofasttowardsendofyear.

I hate this time of year.
Sometimes.
I.
Just.
Say.
STOP.
And mean it.
Because I need to relish this bit of time a little longer.
I'm tired of rushing. I'm tired of feeling foisted into acquiescence.

I'm going to enjoy this storm passing over us for the next 24 hours.

Umami! If you're going to type an asterisk, you are required by law to have a corresponding explaining asterisk somewhere else. I do not see one. I'm alerting the authorities. I love a good storm and hope you enjoyed yours. These daily blogs are really boring. I must make time to write. What is the point of filler?
That said, I'm too tired to type. Had a busy day. A nice day. Now having a sneezing attack....whut?! Took a Benadryl and am hoping to be sawing logs and dallying with my dream lovers within the hour.

Having a good, lovely day, getting a lot done. Working with the wheel of the year to gain momentum......lots of family-nurturing-healing time right now, too.

Also had pumpkin pie for lunch, and still can't type w/ right hand. Burned off all the pie this afternoon, though!

Had a great walk w/ DH in a.m., then finally convinced him to take his money-guzzling car in to the Mexican/Vietnamese guru of Japanese cars (really, he is a god---a skilled, cheap, very hard-to-understand-when-speaking GOD). This car that has been guzzling $$$ in transmission fluid the past few months was fixed for $20.

It took my mad accounting (and wifely) skillz to send DH in to see car guru, and we instantly save money. Wish we'd done this 2 months ago!

Not feeling well. Actually woke with super raw throat, could barely speak, then eldest son mentioned friend at school w/ strep for several days. NOOOO! I have no fever, so sure it's not that. But pooped anyway. Pushing as much as I can, but also hoping for catching up on sleep this most-glorious end of DST weekend.

Trying to catch my breath and catch up to my goals.

Had a great chat with my mom. She sent a "follow-up" email later, full of love. Girl cat is nuzzling my feet as I type.

I give today an 8. Not as productive as I'd like, but full of love and inspiration and nurturing----all needed to move forward.

p.s. finger still bandaged, but it's so stiff that i can type w/ it now! I'm afraid to deal with it. Hope it doesn't turn black and rot off. !!!!

Today was a bit of a wash, since I reopened bloodiest finger gash. Forced downtime. Oh, and had forgotten to turn on heat, and it got dowm to 40. At least we all had blankets and fuzzy felines!
