Think I am hitting my first plateau....maybe???

OK, weighed in last Wednesday and the scale said 299.50 3 times, so that is what I put down for my weigh in..........and I was sooooooooooooooo excited to see a 2 as the first number! Then weighed in yesterday and the scale says 303 and then today and it says 303.2....and I am now very very frustrated because I have tracked my food and been good and the scale went up that much??? My husband did make chop suey Friday night for dinner and it was more salt so I think my body is just rebelling against more salt, but OMG!!! I don't want to see the 3 in the first number any more!!!!!

SIGH!! OK, got that out..........I know I need to take my measurements and use that as well as the scale for times just like this. I turned down cupcakes on Friday and nachos for lunch on Friday as well because the calorie count on both items was way way toooooooo high! 370 calories for a cupcake! AAGGHH! And the nachos were 1000+ for a plate of nachos at the local taco truck! No thanks.........though they did sound delicious :) My co-worker was like maybe you just need one good day of pigging out to get it out of your system and get the scale to start moving again, you know, jump start your system....or shock it, whichever works!!!

On the plus side, I did get told twice this week that people I work with could really see that I was losing! emoticon And I know my one pair of denim Capri's are just getting way too baggy, they slide down when I wear them and I noticed my sweats are doing the same thing. I took my daughter to Wal Mart yesterday and she was getting some pants so I saw this cute shirt on clearance and figured I would try it on before I bought it since we were over at the changing rooms, and it was a 2X 18/20 and when I tried it on it was kinda baggy so I went over and grabbed the 1x 16 and tried it and it fits fine, a little snugger but not tight and I got it instead!!

So I guess all of this is just me getting the frustration off of my chest because boy, if I pass up cupcakes AND nachos in one day, I want the dang scale to show that!!! LOL Maybe I need a magic scale that says WOO HOO, WAY TO GO , YOU PASSED UP JUNK FOOD!!! when I step on it! LOL emoticon

I also took two new pics the other day at work so I can keep tracking the weight loss that way as well, and I can see in the pictures that I am slowly slimming down.......slowly....but surely! :O)

Stepped on the scale this morning and it said 300.5...........301.5 was my true half way to my first goal of losing 55 pounds by my birthday, so YAY!!! I am on the downward side of my goal now!! I got a new phone and I am having sooooo much fun with it! I downloaded the Sparkpeople app diet tracker so I can log my food in on the go now and it will make my life easier when I am at work or doing stuff on the go!

I have been going through clothes since it is getting warmer and I put on a pair of capris I wore last summer only twice because they were too tight around my stomach....and they fit fine, actually kinda big so I wore them to work yesterday and they were fine to wear all day! So I am kinda freaking out because I am trying on things that I could not wear last summer and they fit! *happy dance*

    emoticon I am so happy for you. I hope when I get out summer things I can wear things, even though I have only lost 12 lbs, my belly has gone down, surely things will be lose. Clothes are a good measurement. emoticon emoticon

yesterday by getting some new panties a size smaller that are kinda sexy and fun! And we went out to Mexican for dinner and I wanted to eat something non-fattening so I decided to try something new and tried Baja fish tacos with tilapia and they were actually very yummy and something that I am going to try to make at home because I think they would be easy and quick and very tasty too!

And I had kinda lost track of the days and did not realize that I was close to starting my period until last night so now I am kinda excited to get this cycle over because I tend to retain at least 3 pounds the day before I start my period so my weight loss might actually be more than I thought!!

Weighed yesterday and knew I was down, weighed again today and I am 0.3 from half way to my first goal of losing 55 pounds by my birthday!! Woo hoo!! I could really tell in my clothes yesterday because I wore the pair of jeans Capri's that I got last summer and they are baggy on me and I will not be able to wear them for much longer because they literally start sliding off!! emoticon Oh darn.................guess I will need to buy some new ones!!

The greatest thing I love about this is that I have not starved myself at all during this time, I eat plenty of food every day, I have gone out to dinner and to potlucks at work, and slowly but surely the weight is coming off. I even had to get used to eating MORE than I was used to because I was so used to skimping by on stuff to save on calories. I've even had desserts and a piece of candy here or there! At the potluck on Wednesday they had one of those humongous chocolate cakes from Costco...it's like triple layer death by chocolate.......and I did not have any, and it's not because I don't like chocolate because believe me this girl likes her some chocolate!!!! It was two things: first I did not want to log the calories in for that piece of cake because it would be A LOT and second, because it honestly kinda made my stomach go EEEEWWWWWWWWWW! emoticon I have had this cake before and it is very very very rich and it just made my stomach turn to even think about eating some..........I had a small piece of coconut cream pie instead and was much happier!

Body weight simulator

I was scanning news articles on Yahoo today and came across one that was talking about diet myths and figured it was worth a look over. One thing that I though was cool was a link to the NIDDK (National Institute of Diabetic and Digestive and Kidney Diseases) site that has a body weight simulator that you can input your current weight and activity and your goal and it simulates it and also takes into account how your BMR changes as you lose weight. It gives you the options to increase your activity level and gives you a calorie range for losing and then maintaining.
