Starting Over

Well, I totally fell off the rails. Haven't been paying any attention to what I've been eating and have had no exercise other than my usual Sat AM golf. So I've decided to do a combination of SP and WW. I have discovered I can't do just the on-line thing. I love it because of the encouragement and tracking and such but do need to be accountable to a "live" person. So I feel that the weekly weigh ins and meetings and WW are also what are needed. So we shall see. The next month will be tough due to some business travel and vacation but that's ok. I'd rather get started again and have my routine before the chaos really starts. Soooo, here I go again. I'll find out tonight what my weight is like. emoticon

Ahhhh hump day we are now on the slide to the weekend. I have a wedding this weekend and have no idea what they will be serving. I'll have to watch what I eat earlier in the day and still to filling, low-cal foods, get my calcium in early and lots of water. Good thing I have a golf game scheduled for the morning so I can burn off some calories early. I will also make sure I get a long walk in on Friday and Sunday. Surround the wedding in calorie burning activities. LOL Not sure if there is to be dancing at this wedding or not.

    When I know I'm going to an event with foods I cannot control, I try to eat a hearty meal beforehand, filling up on the "good stuff" so I'll be full and won't over indulge when I get to the event. That trick has helped me immensely. Perhaps you can try that.

Ha! Well, totally forgot that I was supposed to weigh myself Sunday morning. I was away so didn't get the reminder. Bad Kay!! However, I'm on track, not easy. It's certainly interesting seeing the nutritional breakdown of everything I eat. I've always done other types of weight loss programs such as Weight Watchers so this is somewhat different. Does make you really look at labels and analyze what you are eating though.

Well today is the last day of vacation and the last day of my first week of SP. When I joined I decided that I would just eat "normally" and see what the various counts were and go forward based on that. Scary stuff!! So now I have to get planning the week ahead. Tomorrow night is dinner out so that is always difficult, especially the first day of a new weight loss program!! However, the restaurant does have a menu and nutrition guide on their website so I can decide ahead of time what I will have. First step in planning. I'll also get my lunch ready and snacks so that I'm not grabbing whatever!
Today I'm going for a walk and will finish up my gardening, laundry and fun stuff like that.

Well, the A/C got fixed yesterday. Hurrah!!!! However, it didn't go off when it reached the temp setting so now it's too cold. LOL Turned off and back on again so hopefully it just needed to be reset. We shall see. What a difference it makes for both the cat and me!! More energy and zest. So back to thinking about actually getting some exercise in.

    Came home from work and my cat was stretched out on the coffee table in front of the fan enjoying herself. Guess I know what the cat does when I'm away!!

    The heat does zap your energy!! The A/C was down at the gym and I couldn't believe how lousy I felt. Thank God they fixed it!! Back to the treadmill!!
