So yeah... I'm definitely feeling those today!!! I guess I didn't move enough to notice it when I blogged earlier this morning yet (it was soooo early), but my abs are REALLY SORE! :D And I get to do 20 more again today I think. WOOHOO! HAHAHAHA.

    There's something "sick and wrong" in my head that when you mentioned jackknife crunches, I wanted to go do some!!!! SERIOUSLY! haha I think I love those! :-) DARN about missing your blog yesterday - I probably would have really enjoyed that story! :-)

    Don't you love how the Abs can scream about you. My trainer makes me do those and they kill my stomach but it's worth it in the end.

My workout went fine last night -- I ACTUALLY DID SOME PIKE CRUNCHES!!! IT WAS AWESOME!!! :D (Jackknife Crunches on here I think...)

EDITED TO REMOVE WHINY SELF INDUCED GUILT-TRIP ABOUT NOT TIPPING MY HAIRCUTTING LADY. I didn't like it, she was nice but did a poor job, I'm not feeling guilty for not being overly generous when the service didn't qualify for a tip in my opnion. DONE. MOVING ON. Thanks for the comments of those who saw this before I changed it. :)

Went up 1lb from my ticker weight, but I got no sleep last night practically, and I'm doing a big WEIGH and MEASURE thing tomorrow morning for the end of Making the Cut, so I'm gonna wait and see how that comes out before moving my ticker. I think I'm gradually changing my official weigh-in day to Wednesday mentally, because I have to wake up SO early on Mon-Tues that I feel like I'm cheated those mornings in the sleep department, thus giving me screwy weigh-ins. OK. ENDING THE DOOM AND GLOOM. Give me some cheer!

    I think if you weren't satisfied, you shouldn't tip. I believe it is actually more offensive to leave a very small tip than no tip. I could be wrong on that though. Well either way, I wouldn't feel bad if you were THAT dissatisfied with it. I'm really sorry you went though that. To me, nothing is worse than a bad haircut. Could you go back and ask them to fix it? A lot of places do that free of charge. It's an idea anyway.

I wouldn't worry about the weight yet. Give it a couple days when you can get a good night's rest. I'm still dealing with Easter bloat myself. I worked until 5 that day so we went out to eat.

    Hmm ... I'm ambivalent about tipping. Hairdressers, waitstaff, etc. expect tips. In fact, they're paid less, meaning your haircut is priced lower, because they anticipate client tipping. But a tip .... is still a show of appreciation. And if you didn't appreciate it, then maybe not tipping is good. Here's the thing: were you displeased because she didn't give you what you told her, or are you displeased because she didn't read your mind? If you were clear, and she whiffed it, then don't tip. If you were unclear/unrealisitc about what you wanted, then it was kind of mean to not tip.

Can you tell I've worked in the service industry? ;-p

Give it a few days. I got my hair cut last week. It went from below the shoulder to scary short, and it wasn't quite what I wanted. But after a few days, my hair is settling in, and I'm getting used to it. I might even go back to her. So hopefully, you'll feel the same way by the weekend.

    Grrr, haircuts. Don't feel bad about not tipping - you won't go back to her anyways... Sometimes it's just so akward to tip that I don't - I probably would be more of a stickler about tipping if I had ever worked in a job that relied on it, but alas, I worked in retail through university so I never grew accustomed to tipping.

Do your weigh in and measurements when you're feeling good!!! I did measurements last night, and still had "The Easter Bloat" as my hubby so lovingly referred to it. I was not a happy camper. So we're going to do the measurements again in a few days when I'm hopefully back to normal...

Oh, but you asked for some cheer....

Soooo.... How about a knock knock joke?

My Weekend. :)

It was fun. We watched movies, played video games....

Also on Saturday is was SOOOOOOO gorgeous outside. We went and walked around downtown for quite a while -- intending to try this restaurant, but it had an odd different selection for "Brunch" on Saturday at the time we went, so decided to go at a more normal hour.

Found two places we want to go back too -- this adorable German Bakery/Cafe and this other cafe. Anyway. It was fun, lots of walking, but purely recreational walking. :) It was nice!! Did some shopping. Got new clothes for the hubby. He's stopped trying to lose weight at the moment, but he's maintained at least 45lbs of what he lost when he was working out, so he's only gained back about 5-6lbs and so his pants were still too big, and we accidentally ruined some of his T-Shirts into shrunkenville. So anyway -- we were looking at T-Shirts at target and there were a couple that would look TOO cute on me, so he insisted we get them for me. ;) I also got some new workout pants - YEAH! :D (mine were definitely falling off when I would jump or run) And a nice light jacket.

I searched for a bathing suit, but I have such a dilemma. I really need to shop where they have long torso bathing suits, but I was trying to see what I could find on the cheap. I found this suit I LOVED at Old Navy, but it was too short... just no way to make it work. :( And they didn't have any tankinis in the right sizes. Same at Target -- no tankinis I liked in the right sizes. Sooooooooooo.............. I gotta still look. I also need to make an appointment to get my hair cut again. It is just getting on my nerves now, and I'm not ready to grow it out, so it's definitely due for a trim.

Ummmmm....... yeah. So anyway, we had a good time. Definitely way too lazy on Sunday. :P And now I'm just waiting for my day to be over so I can go to the gym and do next to last day of Making the Cut! :D

    Too bad those "shades" or whatever there called swimsuits are so expensive! They are supposed to be GREAT for long torso'd people. Swimsuits are ALWAYS a pain. But at least the rest of your day was great! :-)

    Swimsuits are so frustrating! My daughter is about 5'11" and a really long torso. I found one, but have to sew the neckline up a bit because it's way too low cut!

Well I've been blogging everyday, why stop now?!? :)

HAHAHA. OH FRIDAY!! I LOVE YOU!!!

On Friday I get off at 8PM instead of 10PM. WOOHOO!!! So I get to start shutting this place down in about 5 minutes.

I have no obligations this weekend. Other than church on Sunday morning. :D It is a VERY EXCITING feeling. HAHAHA! I don't even have any scheduled workouts. I might do something tomorrow anyway, though. Or maybe just something fun, like a walk with my DH. Maybe I can go shop for a swimsuit!!!! Anyway, it's a nice feeling.

Well, today's workout went well...

And then TOM really decided to start kicking and screaming. I've got cramps and they are driving me NUTS. And of course we're expected to function normally through this crap every month. :P BOO!

Almost done with Making the Cut. My plan after that is to work on my running as my primary focus until the 5K. Then make getting a swimsuit my top priority, so I can start swimming.

I will also try out the dance classes at the rec center again now that I'm free on Mon+Tues evenings! :) There's a Hip Hop class and a Funk class. I tried the Hip Hop one WAYYYYYYYY back when I first started losing weight and it was awesome, but I bet it'll be a lot easier now that I don't have all that extra weight to throw around when trying to do the moves. And I took a Funk class in the mornings after that at some point (not long after) and embarrassed myself by twisting my ankle. :P then after I rested for a few minutes, I jumped right back into the class, much to the dismay of the teacher who I'm sure thought I was seriously injuring myself...

And I never got to go back. I went back another day but no one else showed up for class so it was cancelled -- they stopped doing that class at that time slot I guess cause it was too small. (There were a total of four of us the time I twisted my ankle.)

So that should be fun. Always looking for a new direction to be working toward something and trying something new or setting new goals.

We're planning on having breakfast for dinner tonight, which should be really good. :) and there's LOST to look forward to.

    Yes cramps are fun, but if I can give you a few tips I learned for once you start running or doing a high impact aerobic form:
- If you have a planned running or high impact day and the cramps kick in - do something else - a bike ride is an excellent aerobic calorie burner but much easier on your crampy area.
- Drink warm water or tea before you exercise. Cold water can cause the cramps to be worse, warm water relaxes the muscles for a more enjoyable workout.
- keep socks on or house shoes - keep your feet warm, but comfortable. This helps to alleviate the cramps that run down the legs. The nerve endings in our feet are connected all the way up to the pelvis (and beyond).

I find that exercise really helps make my days bearable, but we can't do everything - but we don't have to sit home and do nothing.

    You are very gutsy for taking classes--I wouldn't be very comfortable doing it, I'm a solitary exercise kind of person. And don't worry too much about the weight, belly dance if you want, that's why they call it BELLY dancing! Lots of the North African women do it here and they are not all tiny little things, plus you get to wear great scarves and dangly things around your hips that take the focus off your middle, only, I suppose, to put it on your butt....it would be great to be able to move like that though, you should go for it!

Those classes sound like so much fun! Keep us posted on them! When I get under 200 I want to take up belly dancing. I think it's soooooo cool. :D

    Most of the time I LOVE being a girl, but once a month it just fripping sucks!!! I've never taken an exercise class...I'm uncoordinated just doing Walk Away the Pounds DVD...lol!!! Sounds like fun though! Watch those ankles!!! ;)
