I have a couple of folks tell me I help motivate them, but I guess it's "OFFICIAL" now. HAHAHA. I got an email from Sparks last night telling me I'm a "Motivator"!!! :) My SparkPage is now featured on the "Overall Motivation" category in the Motivators SparkPages section.

WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!! :) I feel like a million bucks. :D

    Cool! :) ---------- BTW, I googled the Arc Trainer, and watched a video. Looks impressive! I know SparkPerson 'Smurfette' uses it (it's always in her log), and she has a bangin' body, so it MUST work well! ;-) -Lisa

WOW. Last night I went to the gym and spent my whole 45 minutes on the Arc Trainer. THAT THING IS A BEAST!!! I burned 801 calories. OH YES. :) I did skip my ST yesterday...

I think I'm going to go back to doing full body 3x a week after last week's ST MARATHON. :) I did it this morning even though the last thing I wanted to do was squats, etc. :P hahaha. I feel very satisfied and proud of myself for sticking to ST even if I changed plans mid week. :) hahaha.

And I'm getting oh-so-excited to keep up the good habits all week and weekend long. :D I'm DEDICATED to not slipping just cause it's December.

    I wish I could change my thinking to get as excited as you do about staying on track during the Holidays. I DREAD eating right and keeping up with my exercise while everyone else is eating cookies and watching "It's a Wonderful Life"! =) Not that you'll need it but good luck this month and keep up the good work! =)

December Strategy and Holiday Excercise Plan

Well, these are both part of the Challenge of Harry Potter Weekly Challenge this week...

I've thought about these things and so I guess now it's time to POST them.

I will plan out my Calendar each week so that dinners are scheduled and so is my excercise.
I will push myself to stick to everything TO THE T and allow no slack in my workouts.
I will resist all the food temptations that come with Holiday Parties and eat only what will fit within my range -- NO EXCEPTIONS MADE FOR SOCIAL EVENTS.

My excercise Strategy for the Holidays:

I will bring my dumbells and running shoes with me on our trip. When we stop at rest areas, I will take the opportunity to do a bit of excercise. I will do this in a circuit training type manner to get the most out of my brief workout as possible. I will take advantage of the hotel's facilities IF they have a gym. (I'm not sure if they do or not...)

I'm excited to fit in excercise while vacationing -- I think this will really help me set the tone for future vacations now that I'm on my healthy lifestyle path. :) I already scheduled a 5K during my Thanksgiving Holiday, and intend to keep that up as a yearly tradition -- so there's my Thanksgiving workout plan BUILT IN.

If we go visit my in-laws for New Years, I will run around with the dogs (and take my dumbells as well).

Just because I'm out of my environment and can't go to a gym does NOT mean I can't get an effective workout.


EDIT: I just noticed I can blog about a New Year's Resolution as well, so I might as well throw that in here, too.

Get Healthy! was my resolution this year, and while I may not make it to a healthy weight (I'm hoping I still can), I've definitely come very close to that goal, and feel that my habits and lifestyle are now... healthy! I really think I could say that honestly I try to live healthily now. :)

My resolution for 2008 is to continue my healthy habits throughout the year and to become as fit as I can be -- really focusing more on improving the condition of my body than weight. Now that I'm close to my weightloss goal, I can tell that I don't think I will be as fit as I want to be even when I reach my goal weight.

Besides -- the healthy habits I want to continue for the REST OF MY LIFE. Next year's resolution will be more like a test for me. To see how I keep it up after reaching my weightloss goal. :)

If I was going to be home at Cmas... I'd say we need to meet, but I'm going to be in Scotland at that time. Still, we really do need to meet girly girl! We're too close not to :D

    Hey WAY TO GO. I find one of the hardest things for me is saying no to the "special occasion" Every day is a special Occasion RIGHT?

Yesterday I forgot to do my ST in the morning.

On any other day I would have just said, OH WELL.

BUT NO!!! :) I had a streak going. I couldn't let down the SparkPeople public!!! :D Or myself. I could do it at night. So I did. Not as much, but I still did it. WOOHOO!!!

    I did the same with my booty/belly exercises. Once I passed lunch, I was thinking I'm not gonna do these, then I thought of all you guys depending on my points, and I did them anyways. Maybe not as much as I could have, but this is my first active week. And not just on the challenge, but literally my first ACTIVE week! Thanks for all you do!!!

    I am right there with you! I just have not had time to do my ST but I the day is not over and I will not let this streak go!!! I want to keep going. Now what will be really impressive is if I could keep it going next week to!!!

The Streak has begun...

So today is day three of consistent Strength Training. The longest streak I've had in this area in a LONG TIME.

So the calendar is doing some good.

I think today will be the first day I'll be able to check of EVERY box -- so I need to get out the stickers. :D

    It's amazing that we're still working so hard on strength training and getting those fruits and veggies in - - since the beginning - - but we're doing it, aren't we!! You're not far from you're goal!!
