The willy nilly is in effect... tracking must take place to counteract!!!

I want to lose, but I seriously CAN'T GAIN. So yeah. BTW, my last couple of times on the scale are right back at where I thought I was starting this whole renewed with a weightloss goal thing - 192. I think it's my body's fluffy set point right now. I saw 187 before Girl's camp, but let's be real. That's 5lbs of difference. With how tall I am, I can fluctuate 5lbs from day to day depending what I eat. I'm hoping that cleaning the diet up this week will see me back down at 187 and I can move forward from there. If not, oh well. I can't pick where I am NOW, choices I've made to be in this exact moment and time have already happened.

I CAN choose my future actions and where they lead me. So that is what I will do!

I did run this morning, 3 miles, so my weekly miles were exactly as planned at 35. I think I'll hit 140 again this month for monthly miles, which is fantastic. :)

Blog Streak Day 1 again!

Whoops, so I somehow missed yesterday?

Yesterday I went on a 6 mile run with 3 miles at goal marathon pace - ran them too fast, but I think the training effect (to tire out my legs for today's LR) was achieved....

Although today's LR was really great, too. Very quick, actually. 12:35 avg pace vs. around 13 or more that I usually do for a LR. It's within my McMillan old paces and the new ones, too, so I think it's ok (as in not TOO FAST for a LR).

Went to see The Dark Knight Rises today and then ate lunch at a cute little local organic store deli place. Chipotle Sweet Potato Soup and Curry Chicken Salad.

I haven't tracked yesterday or today, well - I tracked my Gu's from before. Maybe I'll try to track that lunch but I have no idea how honestly. I know it was good though and not bad for me. :)

Blog Streak Day 3!

So I went over on calories yesterday, I might again today - we'll see.

But I've tracked everything today so far, and I will keep tracking the rest of the day. Just gotta keep trying and eventually it will all work out.

And gotta keep blogging!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This helps me soooooooo much.

Brass band rehearsal was fun, I played bass trombone part since we didn't have a player there for that and that's always fun. :)

I know you are logging calories daily to stay on top of things, but I do think that overall, it's how you do for the whole week rather than any particular day.

Blog Streak Day 2!

Yeah yeah yeah, I didn't blog yesterday. I was going to do it but then we lost power, so I'm not counting that against my streak - I'm just not counting it either. This is day 2! Not one or three. :)

Yesterday I stayed within ranges. HURRAH! I didn't on Monday. :( But, I did go grocery shopping Monday and now I have plenty of good fruits and veggies to keep me on track!

Ran 9+ miles this morning, woohoo! And it felt good! YAY!

Well that's all I got for now, just wanted to explain yesterday and keep the streak going. Today more laundry and also vacuumed and other little chores.... gotta get everything rolling and back in order...

AND! Tonight! Brass band rehearsal!

Blog Streak RESTART - Day 1!

The blog streak was REALLY helping me, so now that I'm back from girls camp and had a day to recover, I'm bringing it back.

Young Women's camp was soooooooo wonderful... but it was also stressful and I really just had to eat what food was provided, and I also just went with the flow on some camp treats.

One of the other leaders made fresh homemade donuts for the girls AT CAMP. How often do you have the chance to indulge in something like that? For ME... that would be NEVER. So I partook of those. Also smores. It's camping. So yes. Smores.

I tried to eat healthy with what food was provided at the meals, though - they did a decent job of trying to provide good food, too.

I also ran all but one day of camp, and although the mileage was half of what I wanted total for last week, considering I was recovering from a realllly tough half marathon, and the runs at camp were very challenging (hello, it's the country in Vermont, meaning hillshillshills..).

So I was ready to run this morning, come downstairs and find a puddle of dog pee that has soaked into the bottom of my sleeping bag roll. :( WAhhh. So I was cleaning and I'm still working on laundering that beast. I'm going to train Roscoe to ring a bell for us to let him out because right now he just goes silently to the door... which is fine when we're in the room, but at night we have to notice him leaving the bed and apparently we didn't notice last night. I think we're gonna get a gate for the bedroom door, and I'll put the bells there at night, and when we're home I'll put em on the back door.

So anyway, I think I'm gonna switch a couple of my mileage days - today was going to be 5, but since I didn't get out in the morning, I'll look for a quick 3 later on.

Some ST and laundry will be the main order of the day.

Also I believe I've diagnosed some pain I've been having intermittently in the ball of my foot: metatarsalgia. Yeah that is really just a word describing pain in the metatarsals. hahahaha. But it seems to describe it pretty well and I don't believe I have a stress fracture and it only hurts sometimes while running so I'm still going to try to train through it just like I did with the PF.

It's great that you went to camp. I'm pretty sure even with the splurging you lose some weight, camping it's really demanding...

    franco also doesn't bark when he needs to go out. we tried the bell for a while but I game up. i need to be trained again.
