My body dumbfounded me today...

...by losing 2.5lbs from last week???

WTF?!

Not that I'm not happy or anything... just...

Why is it that I only worked out once last week, but lost more weight than I have in a long time? Am I not eating enough calories usually?

BAH. I've been thinking on it, and my answer to myself is....

Maybe your body was still ready to lose weight, just keep at it, and eating right and working out, and you'll keep losing weight.

SO. That's what I'm going to do. :)

But what this means is that I've now lost JUST barely over 75lbs.

WOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!! :D Amazing. A-MAZ-ING.

But time just moves by too slowly. :P I'm ready to move on with life. My job is boring... but I'm not likely to find another one until we move... and when we move I'll most likely go back to school... or give up on that and just have babies... who knows.

But in any case... for now, things must stay the same unless some amazing miracle happens. So I just keep working as best as I can, working hard at getting healthy, and putting in my time at the daily grind. :P

I feel SO MUCH in a transitional state. It's really annoying. But I just have to be patient because when I come out of my transition, things are really going to be GREAT. :)

    Hey, you sound really grounded. I know that life just seems to be at a standstill but maybe this is your breathing time before things start back up. Just glad you're taking time to look at everything. Congrats on the weight loss!

    That happened to me too! I didn't lose anything for two weeks then I stop working out for a week and lose a pound?? The evil voice in my head of course starts saying maybe I should just stop working out all together but I think I know better =) Mysterious things these bodies of ours. Congrats on yet another loss though nonetheless! =)

  You go, Dana! 2.5 pounds is awesome! Not that it has anything to do with your transitional state, but there's been a butterfly cocoon on the side of my garage for about 3 weeks. I've been watching it every day, and it looks like it's getting close. Yesterday we had a storm and the wind and rain knocked the little cocoon to the ground. I got some duct tape and taped it back up where it was. hopefully we'll have a new butterfly this week. I guess I'm trying to give you a bad metaphor for your transitional state. When it's over, it will be AWESOME. Until then, your friends are here with the duct tape to help you along.

Yep. I spoiled myself -- the big news is in the Title. But oh well, that's really all I have to say.

My weekend kinda sucked. :( But it's ok -- you can't win 'em all!

And I forgot my lunch at home today... *DOH*

Gotta go run somewhere to pick something up during my lunch. :P

But I did get the grocery shopping done this morning. As well as some awesome cowboy toy guns for Wednesday's "WILD WEST" day at work. And an eyepatch w/ gold earring in case I can pull together the pirate thing for Thursday.

This week is "Employee Appreciation Week" and they got us doing all kinds of crap. Today was the tame day in comparison -- "BLUE MONDAY - wear blue". okayyyy. Easy.

    I wish my job would let us have crazy dress up days! About the craziest it gets here is the one "casual Friday" when I wore sandals. You would have thought I came in wearing a tube top and mini skirt. Everyone waved their fingers at me and my "open toed shoes" *GASP*!! Congrats on yet another loss Miss Dana and I hope you're having a fabulous week! =)

OK so I don't really know if I LOVE TiVo yet. But. We got one.

It came in the mail today.

Today was CRAZY, btw.

I had to go to work early for a meeting, but I was taking a half day today because I work tomorrow, so ANYWAY, I came in. Left. Went to get an oil change - ended up also replacing the wiper blades, which would have been costly but I had a coupon woohoo! Went home... waited a bit because I didn't want to leave the living room because I knew the UPS man was coming with my TIVO DANGIT.

TIVO CAME! Hooked it up, LOVE doing that kind of stuff. I am the one who always sets up our computers when we move, I'm the one who installed our Surround Sound including hanging the speakers, and hooking up all our stuff to our new TV... yeah. I LOVE electronics. So ANYWAY. Set it to record something tonight for testing purposes.

Cleaned the bathroom.

Took out the trash.

Got gas.

Came back to work.

And I get to leave in about 20minutes. So all in all, a pretty awesomely productive day.

I'm going to make my SP recipe on Sparkrecipes.com - Dana's Turkey Burgers tonight. OH and Potato Wedges. The recipe is similar to others, but I use the same spice combination as I do in the burgers because I love it. :D Anyway.

But I appreciate being considered fabulous and I guess I'd better get ready for my 10 years of ugly. HAHAHAHA.

Still maintaining as far as I can tell -- although I didn't weigh myself until like 2PM after I ate something so MAYYYBE I'm down a BIT. But not much if so. Still have one workout to kick butt on this week. :D WOO!

YEP. That sucks. I mean -- ok, it DEFINITELY does not suck as bad as gaining.

And my in-laws were like, "You guys (me and my DH) look so skinny!" hahahaha. :D YAY for relative smallerness.

And someone today talked to me for like 15 minutes about SparkPeople.com and how much weight I've lost...

Someone... I didn't even know who they were. hahahahaha.

Someone at work that works for a different phone group than the one I supervise, but I think they work in the same room...but anyway. It's surprising to be told by a stranger that I've lost a lot of weight. :)

So... anyway -- I write about all these positive things so I can move on and keep working hard.

I did ok this weekend.

My in-laws JUST moved in to their new place, their kitchen is not unpacked, their stove/oven is new there so it still has styrofoam bits in it... hahah so we had to eat out every meal.

BUT. I think I made relatively healthy choices.

BUT. I ate too much of those healthy choices.

So.. mreh. Although I did only eat two meals each day... and only ate too much at one of those meals. And clearly, that's why, because I barely ate the rest of the day. :P But it's hard when you're not completely in control, ya know?

I'm glad I maintained and did not gain.

OH!! and the other good thing!

I did my strength training plan today! Only I forgot I was going to do the Boxer - but I did everything else. I need to print it out so I remember what to do tomorrow...

    I'm totally proud of you for making healthy choices. Seriously when I go out to eat I always tell myself I'll order something good but when I get there I'm like "Well hell, I can have grilled chicken and vegetables at home I'm ordering cheese fries!". This is a great example of why I avoid eating out as much as possible =) No but seriously maintaining is still progress. Plus, if you don't lose for a couple weeks it's good motivation to kick yourself in the butt and try that much harder! You're doing great my HP homie. Keep it up =)

    Not sure if this will help or not but I wanted to share it with you anyhow. You like me have lost a HUGE amount of weight, and just like me still have a fair amount to go to get to where you want to end up... That said I look at it this way - everytime I stop losing and maintain that is positive proof that I can and will be able to keep this weight off!! *HUGS*
