I put the rest in my photo gallery, but there's a picture of what my body kind of looks like now.

After my inspirational entry yesterday -- I'm like BOO! My weight was up this morning and yesterday morning. I'm crossing my fingers that it's just water weight and not a crappy plateau.

On the upside, my Couch to 5K run went really well this morning!

Progress is good. :)

Just thought I'd add that picture because Gabrielle Reece is one of my main fitness motivational bodies.

I was just deleting the old comments from my SparkPage -- NOT BECAUSE I DON'T WANT THEM ANYMORE!!! But because my "Edit SparkPage" was taking 500 years to load. But anyway...

It was nice to kinda see my history a little bit. The "Welcome to 270 villes" and "Welcome to 250-ville"s and "Welcome to the Community Team" and "Congrats on 43 lbs lost" and "Congrats on halfway" and so forth...

Just really reminded me how far I've come.

This week I weighed in at 225.5 -- almost 65 lbs lost! I'm almost to that magic mystery zone past the "lowestnumberonscaleasanadult" point. It's very exciting.

It also means that soon I won't even fit my old clothes that I've been wearing... :) (I know I blogged to the excess recently about new clothes, so I won't wear that old tale out.) It's just exciting to see how much progress I've made.

Now I'm working on running, and that's exciting, too, even if I'm still horrible at it, the fact that I'm working on this makes me feel really cool. :) hahahaha.

I never blogged about this, but I mentioned it in a couple of SparkTeams.

Monday my MP3 player wouldn't turn on. :(

I was so freaked out. And of course this is at the gym right before I'm going to start my run. *SIGH* So I was like -- do I run without MUSIC?!??!?? I COULD do this on a treadmill and hook my headphones to TV stuff... but I haven't done this on a treadmill YET.... and there's nothing on the TV's I want to watch ANYWAY...

So I braved the track with no music to distract me, ready to embark on the hardest run yet -- the beginning of Week 4 in the Couch to 5K program.

Week 3 has you running a cumulative time of 9 minutes, whereas week 4 has a cumulative running time of 16MINUTES. Longest continual runtime before was 3 minutes, now FIVE minutes. BUT I DID IT. I finished it, maybe slow running, but I didn't walk any of the running portions.

I get home and try charging the MP3 player (although I JUST charged it up on Sunday and loaded the Week 4 podcast to prepare for Monday).... AND IT STARTS CHARGING!!! Apparently I somehow turned it on and it drained out overnight without my knowledge. SO YAY. It's not broken.

That's it for now...

I'm so happy for you and all your progress! It's such great motivation for those weeks when I'm feeling like I'll never get to my goal. You've come so far!! Keep it up girly! You've definitely got your feet moving on the path now and I'm really really proud of you and everything you've done. You get a "wooot woot!" ***Did you ever see that little internet clip with Bub Rub and little sis with the whistle tips they put on their mufflers? Everytime something good happens that sound bub rub makes when he's describing them pops into my head. Wooot woot!! Just thought I;d share that with you!***

Now I want to do this stuff. Check that chick out!! LOOK HOW HOT SHE IS! I would do any excercise she told me to. hahahahaha

I know I want to make sure to work on body composition once I get to my goal weight. I'm strength training now to make sure I at LEAST retain what lean muscle mass I have, if not gain some (which I'm not sure is possible while eating a restricted calorie diet? I heard something about that once...). But anyway -- right now I have so much excess fat that is the main priority. To get down in weight. Then I will concentrate on the composition of that weight more. But it would be awesome to get one of these things and start a program like she has at the bottom of this article.

she does look great - and lean but healthy (not a stick!) - i have no doubt you can acheive that - while my brother lost his weight he gained decent muscle sculpture - so i think it might be possible, but i too am not sure...congrats on all the success...so happy and proud of you!!!

300 Workout!

Friday, August 17, 2007

So I was reading on this website randomly about photoshop techniques, and one mentioned a 300 type look, THEN it said if you'd rather not fake it, here's a link to the 300 workout. *disclaimer being that this isn't THE workout, they likely never repeated the same workout ever, but this is one they did as a test to measure the results of their training, etc.*

But anyway it sounds cool. hahahah

Anyway -- he has links in there to videos teaching how to use "Kettle Bells" and also how to dead lift, and then there's a link to 300 workout Part 2, in which he discusses modifying the workout for his personal training clients. at the end of THAT entry, there's a link to 300 for women, basically.

The following is the way he modified the workout for one of the STRONGEST of his female clients.

25x Pull-ups @ 50lbs assistance
50x Deadlift @ 70lbs
50x Push-ups
50x Box Jump @ 12 box
50x Sit-ups
50x Dumbbell Clean and Press @ 20lbs (DB must touch floor between reps)
25x Pull-ups @ 50lbs assistance

So I figure... maybe I, a weakling, can attempt some of the feats in a modified manner as well. *shrug*

This link seems to have better resources explaining each of the moves in the original version:

Anyway. It seems interesting. :P

Since I'm such a weakling and want to work on my strength. :)

The floor sweepers look freaking AWESOME. I imagine getting a good pendulum would be a way to train towards being able to even complete that move. :)

Wow, you are HARDCORE! My next goal is to move from the 5lb weights to the 8lb weights and I'm dreading it. I also have very clear memories of trying to do a pull up in 5th grade gym class and upon realizing it wasn't going to happen, pretended to fall hurt my wrist so I could go sit in the nurses office. I'm sure I weighed a few pounds less in 5th grade too so I can't imagine trying to do one now.
