Oooooh I'm really in a new bracket now.. :D

I'm OFFICIALLY in the 220's!!!!!!!

Pretty soon I will be entering uncharted territory. :D

I remember weighing in at SOME POINT at FSU at about 220. That is the lowest I have been since high school at LEAST. Maybe since Middle School -- but I'm pretty sure I at least started high school less than 220. HAVE to have. But anyway.

I don't know my adult body at any lower than the 220's. So it's starting to get REALLY EXCITING.

The other thing is that even when I was around this weight before, I KNOW I wasn't as fit as I am now. I have really made some good choices to get myself healthier and I am very very happy and motivated by the progress I've made.

Wooo! I'm there with ya girl. I weighed this much about my freshman year of high school. The 220's aren't so bad but I would like to get out of them as quickly as possible. I'm sure you'll beat me to it =)

I am now a fitness nerd.

Yes. It is amazing. It's a Heart Rate Monitor. :D It comes with a "foot pod" that you attach to your shoe that will track your distance and pace and all that good stuff, and without the footpod you can even take it swimming!!! It's water resistant up to 50 meters, which I'm sure I will never be that deep anyway.

Too bad it's SOOOOOOooooooo expensive. I can't help it though. Now that I'm getting healthy, I'm getting interested in all the gadgets that go with it. Because I'm a technophile. Maybe for Christmas? Next year? hahahahaa :D

I have a "Fitness Items" wish list on Amazon.com now with a stability ball, resistance bands, this and another more fancy model of the same kind. I found it because I really like the way the Nike+Ipod works, but of course I have an iPod video and like anyone who's been reading my blog knows, those don't go running! SO! They aren't compatible with the Nike+Ipod product -- smart enough for iPod so they aren't condoning people running with their dard disk memory iPods, which will then most likely break, and then it'll be all Apple's fault. So they were smart. It only works with the new Nano's, which are flash memory.

SO ANYWAY -- this does that and MORE, because it actually includes a HRM and you can take it swimming and all that good stuff. It does have software you can download your information into from the unit so that you can analyze your performance, etc. Seems to have gotten all positive reviews from users as well. (Have to look on the one that's BLACK for that, because no one reviewed on the RED version.) So it's about $210.00.

Something to aspire to -- maybe my goal reward?

I have the F6 (which I got with a discount at REI) and adore it. Even my husband now asks me what the watch says. It has been a good feed back loop, although now walking aorund my neighborhood is not providing a really good workout! Still good, but not as good. Looking at this Polar you site, though, I now adore the one you are looking at more :-) I hope you are able to procure it! Maybe I need to do some planning of my own.......

Wow... that one is really cool. I, too, have become a bit of a fitness nerd. I have the timex hrm (it works great and has some helpful features) but this one is totally amazing.

Definitely get this as a reward -- and then post a review of it. It would be great to get a first hand review of it.

Compliments day! :D

Thursday, August 09, 2007

My newfound "overweight" confidence must have been showing -- either that or my endorphins from working out this morning... or my makeup just looks extra fly...

Because everyone was complimenting me today on my weightloss and how good I look. :D WOW! It's really a little overwhelming when it comes all at the same time like that. But I am NOT COMPLAINING. :D hehhe.

Off to look at stuff on amazon.com and try to stay unbored for the next 2 hours.

hey girly! Thank you for all those websites. I have been reading them and should put them to practice... although, I don't think I could afford all the lotion it would take to rub on my big belly :D

but adding muscle behind the flesh makes sense...

Dana, have I mentioned yet that you're looking super fabulous today? (Even though I can't see you I'm sure it's true and I wanted to be part of your compliments day!)

It can be overwhelming when you get too many compliments at once though. It's not happened to me very often but when it does I start to get all paranoid like it's some kind of conspiracy and really I just have food stuck in my teeth or something on my face and the 5th or 6th person to compliment me ends up getting interogated. Maybe that's why I don't get too many compliments anymore...

Have a good day girly! =)

Congrats and a HUGE congrats on going down a weight category. I have to look up what I need to lose to do that as well. It'll be a while, I just hope that I never actually made it to morbidly obese. TTYL on gold!

No longer am I obese, never again will I be obese.

I knew I was close, and I've been weighing in at about 229 the past 2 days, so I am officially no longer obese.

*throws a parade*

I'm totally jealous too! I've got to get down another 26lbs to be "overweight". Good for you though! Obese is such an ugly word. I can't wait until I can rid it from my personal vocabulary. You're doing so great! =)
