... after this Saturday... I only have ONE more run longer than 13 miles.
*mind boggles* And after two more weeks (on that second week from Sat doing my 20 miler) I start to taper.
This marathon is getting CLOSE, ya'll!!!!!!!!! (does anyone watch ANTM? I was channelling super country girl on that... I love her.)
This morning I went rowing and it lightning'd twice while we were rowing toward the beginning of the row, mostly it drizzled but a couple times it got to light rain... then as soon as we pull up to the dock, torrential downpour, more thunder and lightning... so.... I scrapped the post row run, went home, got some laundry going, showered, got the laundry drying, and hit the bed. I got to sleep a good 2+ hrs and then I woke up to check and it was clear weather. WOOT. But due to the time constraints and location change, I opted for a 3.25 miler instead of the 4.14 miles I would have done, no biggie. One of those 4 milers could have been a 3 miler (according to the Runner's World Training plan instructions for first timers is to change all pace/speed/tempo workouts to an easy 3 OR 4 miler and I changed all of them to 4's).
It was a decent run, I was not really feeling it today but it got done.
Now I get a day off tomorrow -- and get to dress up YAY HALLOWEEN -- and then it's the monster run again Saturday.
BUT!!! Like I said!!! After this week the only runs over 13 miles are TWENTY and then MARATHON. So..... I think looking forward to that information really makes me feel more confident about hacking through this run no matter what. ;) hahaha.
It will be a tough fit because we are supposed to be meeting with my inlaws and inlaw grandparents for lunch and so far my hubby hasn't been able to tell me WHEN that's going to happen, but either way it's just going to be a busy day.
