Friday was ok. A little splurgey but not too bad. (Also the concert was AMAZING -- Ted Leo + The Pharmacists = heaven. At The Bottletree I had a burrito w/ vegan chili, cheese and rice, side of tortilla chips w/ guac and salsa. So good.)
Saturday was total nonsense. :D After my race I made full use of all of the free food and it was ridiculous. Then I went swimming and ate a ton of chips and salt free pretzels and a sub (which was all veggie and not too bad for a sub but still... white bread roll ugh). THEN that night I went to a birthday party and ate wayyyyy too much dessert. :P wah wah.
Then Sunday -- I ate well. Except for the FOUR PROTEIN BARS. I bought them on the spur of the moment at WalMart to taste test the brand and ... I ate all of them. In addition to what would amount to a normal calorie day. Yeah. Not good.
(Ok the bars were DELICIOUS in case anyone's wondering they were Pure Protein brand! -- all under 200cal and 19-20g of protein each 2-3g of sugar, although they do use sugar alcohols.)
That said, I AM happy with my level of activity this weekend with the race and the rowing on Sunday - I just really need to make sure I'm not losing focus on my eating when the weekend rolls around.
This weekend I will face a challenging eating day on Saturday because I'm driving to and from Atlanta that day to go through the temple with my brother before he goes on his mission. I will eat wherever and whatever my family eats. Just gotta plan to make the best decisions I can except for ONE splurge meal. Also I will plan some healthy snacks for the road.
NO EXCUSES THE REST OF THE WEEKEND. Friday - on point. Sunday -- I'll be hosting healthy meal night so I gotta make sure I make it good. :) hehehe. TRACK EVERYTHING FRIDAY AND SUNDAY.
I haven't weighed myself in a while. Last week I was starting to feel really slim again -- my sides were firming up again and I felt great. The weekend has pretty much undone that feeling -- so I'm going to wait until later in the week to check in with the scale. :P
Rowing club has made boat and lineup assignments for the summer up until the new learn to row camp. The thing is we have enough people to fill 3 boats and we can only take out two 8boats (because that's what we have -- and two coaches anyway...) So not everyone gets to row two times each week -- we're on kind of a rotation. HOWEVER -- I'm going to sub for someone in another boat tomorrow so I will still get to row twice this week.
My workout plan for this week:
Today: OFF. Did nothing
Tues: Rowing, erg at the Aquatic Center unless no one can go with me, upper and lower body ST, and a 2 miler
Wed: 4 mile run, Pilates on the Ball
Thu: Rowing, 3 mile run
Fri: Erg at the AqC, ST
Sat/Sun 2 miler and 5 miler - the day will depend on when I get back from ATL. If I have enough time I'll do the 5 miler Saturday, if not either a 2 miler or off and 5 miler on Sunday.
There's also an optional open row again on Sunday, but I think I might opt out this particular weekend.
