Tuesday, March 08, 2011

yesterday was a "cheat day", but even so I stayed within my calorie range. however i enjoyed the sees chocolate truffles(2) and the piece of lemon pie.

today I got a whole lot of walking in. walked to the school, all over the school, and then walked home. also have walked the dog once sofar and he will get a second walk sometime today(maybe three walk for him?).

Still working hard to add in the strength exercies...

Tige wants to get some strap on the wrist/ankle weights to use in conjuntion with our Wii games. He upgraded to the Wii Active and the "resistance" band that came with it is not as challenging as either of us would like!

I also am adding the Active game to my regime, and it has me sooo sore! Not my arms, but my legs and backside are not happy with me right now! I blame the foot pains on the spur, but the muscle soreness is straight up lack of good exercise.

But my basic point is, you can get those strap on weights and then do the stuff like bicep curls and count it as strength training! Good luck! And have fun!!!

i slacked off this weeks too--some weeks are better than others... the important part is that you keep going! you are doing great! it's all about life changes, not overnight success! emoticon

You will be fine. Every little thing you do to improve your health counts, and all the missed workouts and cheats are nothing compared to before, when you weren't doing anything at all!

Keep up teh good work, and remember, slow adn steady is much healthier and longer lasting than super fast loss and then pile it back on plus some gains...

Fit is a work in progress. How long did it get to where you are? I won't change overnight. Keep at it. emoticon

week 5 of FIT

Wednesday, March 02, 2011

This is a repeat of the week I of the Fit program. The big difference for me is the adding of consistent exercise, both cardio and strength.

The plan is to walk 3-5 times per week; not counting the dog walks. additionally I need to add some form of strength training, maybe with dumbbells (since I have a1lb pair at home).

sounds like a plan! you might also try some light yoga--it's great for strength training and will help you feel balanced as well. :-) emoticon

FIT week 4 begins

Tuesday, February 22, 2011

today is the start of week four in the FIT program. I expect to finish the first month and then start right on into the second month. I have been feeling generally better. school has been going well for me and should continue to go well during the next few months.

I hope to be adding more exercise this week. right now I am getting the walking 3-4 times a week in, but i should also be adding strength training to the exercise mix.

wish me luck

week 3 FIT complete

Tuesday, February 22, 2011

week three of FIT program end with changes in measurements except weight. weight is staying steady, though it is about 3 pounds lower that when i started. that means for last two weeks i have maintyained same weight. however i consider the inches in may ways to be more important and a better guide to change of body type and size.

Lean muscle is heavier than fat. Go to the butcher and ask him. I'm more interested in how many cloths sizes I am losing than how much I weigh. emoticon
