Breakfast Recipe Blog one

I found this crockpot breakfast recipe on Sparkrecipes that I hope to try next week.

Crockpot Breakfast recipe

Introduction
Great recipe for pot lucks. Each serving is worth 6 WW points.
Minutes to Prepare: 10
Minutes to Cook: 600
Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

32 ounces frozen hash browns
1 pound cooked lean ham, cubed
1 onion, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 1/2 cup shredded cheese
12 eggs
1 cup skim milk
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper

Directions
Spray crock pot well with cooking oil.

Divide potatoes, ham, veggies and cheese so you can create several layers of each in the crock pot.

Start with the hash browns, then ham, onions, peppers and then the cheese. Repeat until there are several layers.

Beat eggs, milk salt and pepper pour over layers in the crock pot. Cover and turn on LOW.

Cook for 10-12 hours overnight.

12 servings at 6 WW points each

Challenge Blog seven

Finally the last day! I really did not realize how much time this weeks LTGL challenge was going to take. I really appreciate all of the hard work that the challenge leaders put into coming up with ideas for the different weeks challenges and I know that keeping up with everything must be a real pain and for that I am very thankful to them. While I have enjoyed reading all of the blogs and getting to know some of my fellow starfish, It has been more time consuming than some of the other weeks. However, I did complete each day to the max and I am proud of myself for doing it. I will continue to try to read other starfish blogs throughout the challenge and to work on my goals, which after all was at least part of the intent of the challenge.

Now, it is Friday and I am on call and will be working 7a to 7p Sat and Sun so will be busy, but I hope all my fellow starfish have a wonderful weekend.

Challenge Blog six

Do you need motivation or advice? Ask for it!!!

I probably need both! I have never really asked for either. My mother died when I was 9 and my father was blind and physically handicapped so I have always felt like I only really had myself to depend on. I have gotten some unsolicited advice before that I was not too fond of. Was it the source or the advice? I am not too sure. Could have been both. I think that I need both motivation and advice, I just need to allow myself to learn to listen and know that people have my best interest at heart. I really appreciate all of the comments on my blogs and on my Sparkpage. It is great to know that people are really out there! LOL!

    It made perfect sense. I have always relied on myself as my Mother was an alcoholic and I took over looking after the home at an early age so I learnt to rely on me.
It is not easy asking for help so I do understand where you are coming from.
Motivation is something we have to renew all the time it is like bathing you bath or shower daily so motivation has to be renewed as well.

What can you improve upon?

Uhhhh........everything? No really. I have to constantly stay on top of all aspects of my program and my goals or I would just like to be sedentary and eat all wrong. My willpower is zilch. I do know that I feel better AFTER a workout and that helps me want to do it. I ask God every day (or hour if needed) for the strength and determination as well as the desire to do the things I need to do to accomplish my goals.

    I focus on small things that are doing right (recording my food in a timely manner, etc) and don't worry about the larger ones right now. They will all smooth out.

    I have to agree with the everything comment. For me, if I focus on just one aspect, then I lose control of something else. It is a fine balancing act to be "in control" of everything.
