Pretty proud of myself!

Wednesday, July 29, 2009

Yesterday, when I was doing my strength training, I managed to do 2 Modified Planks and 24 Modified Push-ups which is something that was a BIG challenge just one month ago. Also, I am now to 167.8 lbs this morning before my exercises. I am not putting it down yet because Sunday is my actual weigh-in day. I was very happy with myself.

NB I will be 61 y.o. in September! Not bad heh for an oldie. emoticon

    You are AMAZING.
It takes guts to try the planks and get the breathing right but once you start you soon notice a stronger core and the longer you get to hold it the stronger you'll be.
emoticon on the weight too hun, you have every right to be proud of yourself. emoticon

What date in September.....wanna be around to sing Happy Birthday to you!!!!!!

Another week begins

Monday, July 27, 2009

Yesterday, I decided to rest but it took me everything not to put on my sports clothes and do my thing. One has to remember that the body does need to relax and it did me good. During the night, my knee did not disturb me and this morning, I was able to do 2 bootcamps and exercises without my knee bothering me. The week ahead will be a busy one.

Still in the upper 160s and lost a couple of inches

Sunday, July 19, 2009

Although I have lost a little more than 3 lbs from June 18 to July 18, the inches lost is not much. I probably need to work out more with weights and do a bit more cardio.

Weigh in

Sunday, July 12, 2009

Well I lost another pound+ but the measurements are pretty much the same. My goal for this month was to reach 168 lbs by the 18th but I doubt if I will make that. My goal is to lose 4 lbs a month. I would like to be able to meet with that goal on a continuous basis. Maybe I need to alter things around here... Don't worry, nothing drastic. My food intake is already going down because the weather is getting so hot. My activity level is high. I need to give this a closer look. The battle of the bulge is ON.

Good Job! You have the right attitude to keep it going and coming off. It took me a year and a half to take off 20 pounds. But as you continue to lose, no matter how small, you also develop a different way of life and not a dieting mentality! emoticon

that's right! Don't get discouraged just try something new. I hit plateaus alot when I first started and for me I had to change my workout and make sure I was getting enough protein. Good luck!
