The scale did it again!!!

On Friday, I purchased a new scale. I have suspected for a while that my old scale was giving me the wrong readings. It actually made me look smaller than I actually was. So, this morning I weighed myself and I was at 162.8 lbs. That's OK! I did lose weight with Chrono-nutrition regime and I will continue to lose. How much weight did I lose? I don't know at this point but what I do not know is that I must have started higher than 167.8 lbs because I was using the old scale.

You may be wondering why I suspected that my scale was giving me the wrong readings. The inches lost and how I felt in clothing was not that much different so... I am on a goal to be a better me -- physically and health wise. I would only be fooling myself otherwise.

I started my day with a 3.26 mile walk. I was planning on exercising more but tomorrow is another day.

My husband and niece are traveling for a couple of weeks. With them away, I will be able to stick to my diet really well. My exercise level will also go up. I have to emoticon more and emoticon and emoticon well. I will succeed!

My regime is working

According to my scale, my measurements and the way my clothes fit, I am down 10 lbs already since I have been on this Chrono-nutrition regime. I started on June 1st. Of course, this weight loss may now slow down some because this is a lot of weight to lose in such a short time. If you are interested in knowing more about this regime, you can google it and you will get the information. All I can say about it is that they recommend a certain amount of food to be eaten but I find that it is too much for me and if I want to stay within my calorie range, I reduce the quantities. For the first time ever, I have been able to be within all the calorie, fat, carbs, and all other ranges. It is a healthy regime because we are not limited to eating just certain foods -- it is all inclusive. I never feel hungry any more nor feel tempted to eat stuff on the side.

Another thing though is that I have felt a tad more tired than before but all the weight loss would account for that. Once I find a balance, I should be back to normal. My exercise level did come down a bit because of this, but it will come up again.

Environment Day!

This morning the Mayor's Office and a local association organized a clean-up of our area's streets. It was grueling work with having to rake, pick-up and push the rubbish in piles and we did this for three hours in the hot sun. My husband and niece were there too! I hope that we have more of these endeavors as it shows people that throwing garbage away is not environment friendly.

Apart from this activity, I am coming along fine with my new regime. As I mentioned earlier in the week, I am now on a way of eating which is called Chrono-nutrition. You may not believe this but I have lost 2.2 lbs in five days! I am very happy about this and it is also very encouraging.

Second day on Chrono-nutrition regime

Chrono-nutrition was created in 1986 by a French nutritionist Dr. Alain Delabos. It is more than just a diet: it's a whole new way of eating that follows the body's natural rhythm and enzymatic secretions. In a nutshell, chorono-nutrition is eating foods at times of the day when they are most useful, to meet the body's energy requirements and prevent storage of food as fat in certain parts of the body. If you want more information on this regime, google Chrono-nutrition. I found it very interesting and most importantly it is well balanced.

Some friends at my Tai Chi class have used and are still using this regime. They have lost weight and what I found interesting was the fact that they were not hungry any of the time.

Although I have just finished my second day, on these two days, I have met for the first time all my nutritional needs and have managed to keep my carbs well within the limit that I have set out. I do believe that this may work for me.
