No blogs in over one week!

Friday, November 20, 2009

It just happens that presently, I have not much to say about my progress. It seems to be somewhat at a standstill. Hopefully, this coming week will see a tad more progress than I have in the last little while. It is not from lack of trying because I am exercising. Maybe, I have to look a little more at exactly what I am eating. It is so easy to slacken off for a little while. I have to get over this and do what is needed to get me through this impasse. I will overcome...

I only have 5 lbs to go and I can't seem to lose those stupid little things! Standstills are a pain, but I think everyone gets them and then gets past them. You can do it!!! Just keep up the good work. emoticon

It's not uncommon to come to a standstill. Looking at your routine, changing things up, usually help. Best wishes!

I am so hungry this week!

Wednesday, November 11, 2009

I don't know what is happening to me but I would love to eat just about anything I can get my hands on -- but I don't much to my chagrin. I resist but it is not easy right now. It may be my body telling me to take in more food because my cardio and strength training has really upped quite a bit of late. My calorie intake at present is in the upper range of my calorie intake but I do need to bring it down a notch or two. emoticon

Same here! I just noticed the other day that my appetite has certainly increased this week. The previous few weeks I was eating less than normal, and now I'm eating more. We'll see how it plays out on the scale, since some food increases have yielded weight loss for me. It'll work out for you too! :)

Last week I came down with a cold and ate at my high range of calories or a little more for 4-5 days and still the scale on Monday told me I'd lost nearly 4 pounds. I say cave into your desire to eat more, just eat healthy. Your body knows best.

I always want to eat more during the cold weather months than any other time. I think it's that get ready to hibernate mentality!! But I'm sure yours is probably because you've increased your exercising.Your body needs more fuel.

Wow.. I have been very hungry this week also. I am trying to eat lower calorie snacks and space them through the day along with my balanced meals. If you have upped your exercise though that will have your body craving for more food.

You can try increasing your intake of lower calorie foods, such as vegetables. I hope this helps.

it may not hurt to have a higher protein snack or even a cup of milk. anything to "tide you over". if you feel hungry I think you are hungry and need to fuel the bod! :) especially if you are not eating the suggested 3 meals and 2 snacks a day? not sure what plan you are on but those things work for me. even just drinking tea will please my belly.

good luck, just stopping by browsing blogs

Nope, I didn't make it to the 150s...

Tuesday, November 10, 2009

Although I did go down to 160.3 last week, and I weigh 161 now. That's OK though. All in due time, the weight WILL come off and then a new battle will begin to get off the 150s. emoticon Why aren't we ever happy with ourselves? It would be nice to accept ourselves as we are, but that is NOT the solution for our health. I have to keep reminding myself -- one day at a time, one pound at a time.

Well, I did not make it either - was hoping for a 2 lb loss, but got one! I was happy with the one pound, as I had spent the weekend visiting my daughter at college and had dinner at the sister-in-law; a wonderful cook - butternut squash and cheese ravioli dressed in a brown butter sauce....yum!

Slow and steady - celebrate the little things and laugh! Have a great week and if you need some support shout out to me on my sparkpage.

I can't wait to get off the 160s!

Friday, November 06, 2009

On July 18th, I officially went off the 170s and since then I have been battling to lose the weight in the 160s. Right now, I weigh 160.3 lbs and will be EXTREMELY happy to get off the 160 to say goodbye to this weight forever. I will do it! emoticon

I was tempted to put my new weigh-in today but decided to wait till Sunday in case I can do this by then.

October was nice to me!

Sunday, November 01, 2009

My weigh in was very good today. In October I have lost an overall of 7.3 lbs and an overall of 12.5 inches in this last month! Needless to say, I am happy with the results and will continue along this path.

Although I still have not yet fully mastered the carbohydrate intake, I have diminished my consumption without hurting myself in the process. Everything is paying off.
