Just out of curiosity I measured myself this morning and was happy to find out that I had lost over one inch and a half in my bustline, one inch and a half in my upper thigh and half an inch in my calf. What I will be doing in the future is putting on my page the changes once a month, which would be on the 18th of every month. This is extremely encouraging. Yes WE all are on the right track this time around.

Today was a good day. Despite the fact that both my knees are sore, I still did my 2 hour Tai Chi class and did 2 Bootcamps and danced for 15 minutes. My food intake was all within range today.

Well today was my weigh in day. I did not lose any pounds but did lose 1 inch and a quarter on my waist and half an inch on my hips. Since muscles weigh more than fat, maybe that is why my weight did not go down. However, I did have a hard time this last week to keep within my calorie range. Also, my knees were disturbing me so I had to be gentle with them. I will get there by hook or by crook...

  I can relate. I am 63 trying hard to lose the weight. I am also hypothyroid seems to make it hard. I love this site . Good luck you seem to be doing great, hope I can do as well

On Sunday, I have to weight and measure myself as I start another week. I am thoroughly enjoying being part of Spark People. It is exactly what I have been hoping to see online for years!

The goal of being more active on a daily basis is becoming a reality. I am more active today than I have been in years! I do enjoy exercising a lot but was horribly inconsistent. No wonder that the pounds piled up. Despite the fact that I am hypothyroid and menopausal, which contributed some, there is no reason why I look like what I look like now. In April I did weigh 183 lbs (for a 5'1" person) and I do plan on losing weight over the next while down to about 125 lbs. Being that I am now 60 years old, I do not wish to go skinny again. A little bit of weight is good for one when you reach my age.

    I'm 5'1" also and when i started this last year was 185 I just felt like a beach ball! Anyway sounds like you are on the right track!congratulations!
