It defies comprehension how 13 years have passed since I gave birth to my youngest, but pass they have! We had a lovely time with friends and family for the big day. My one sadness was that my oldest, Michelle, could not be here because she had to work. I wanted to share some of the photos with you! They're not in the right order. Once I got them all to upload, I was afraid to move them, lest I lose them. I am a TechnoChicken. *bawkbawkbawk* lol
Michelle (GettinSkinny to our SP family) arrived early and gave Melanie her presents first. They included this lovely birthday headband. Melanie HATES all things pink. LOL Michelle, of course, KNOWS this! See how HAPPY Melanie is with the headband? lol
The birthday girl and her candles!
Two of my nephews joined us. It always fills my heart to be with them. They were my sweet babies when they were little and still are.
Heath's sons, Hunter and Chase, sandwiching in my sweetheart, GettinSkinny's grandson, Randen.
Dear friends of ours from church, Sandra and her son, Aaron and daughter, Sarah. Are they beautiful or what?
This is Melanie and my ex, her dad. I thank God for the friendship between us.
He is dating a lovely lady now and we are very fond of her.
Me and my baby.
Melanie with her Godfather, Jason.
You won't believe one of the gifts Melanie asked for... posters of the anatomy of the eye. At 13 she thinks she might want to be an eye doctor. So I got her those gross posters you see in the doctor's office with our guts all displayed, but of the eye! She was so excited, she squealed. lol
This is Michelle (aka MeMe, aka GettinSkinny) and Melanie. This lady is the dearest of women and I am SO grateful for her being in our lives.
At 13, she looks so grown up that it sometimes breaks my heart and fills me with unspeakable joy at the same time. I am SO blessed and so thankful.
This is most of the gang!
Once again my husband (CaptainCookie here on SP) misses out on family milestones and celebrations because he is working out on his ship. Thank you, Honey, for sacrificing for our family. I love you!!
Thank you for sharing our special day with us, my SparkFriends. Wish you could have been here with us!!
