Burnout 5-22

Thursday, May 22, 2014

I did fine with the 10k a day. But once I upped it to 5 miles I just really lost focus. I had enjoyed the 10k. The 5 miles was a chore and I just didn't want to do it. I forced myself to do it for over a month and then just gave up. I still wore my fitbit to track what I did do. It was nowhere near the 10k a day that I had been doing. I have taken 2 weeks off and I plan on getting back to it this weekend. I will gradually build back up like I did before and be thrilled with the 10k. That is what my body can handle and I'm not going to push it.

3 months

Monday, March 31, 2014

Today marks 3 months of doing 10k a day! I have walked 416 miles in the last 3 months! Amazing!!! Starting tomorrow, I will no longer be using 10k as my goal but I am moving it up to 5 miles a day! It is about 1100 more steps a day. So this is a goal that I can do!

    That is emoticon
When I was in the military - I would find Volksmarches that I could do on the weekend and they were either 10k or 20k (i think that is 6.2 miles)

I want to do this again - awesome way to see local area of different places - I got the patches, my volksmarch book stamped and whatever else was part of it.

Day 14 of 2014

Tuesday, January 14, 2014

Here is an update....

I have managed to keep up with 10k steps a day! Each day I hit my goal I write 10k on the calendar and then highlight it with a different color.... Now I have a beautiful rainbow calendar... Today is a Pink day!!!

I have done very well with the Paleo lifestyle... 95/5.. I'm being honest and I have cheated a tiny bit.

Juicing 1x a day.... I have done 8 out of the last 14 days. Not great but better then I would have done otherwise.

I also decided at the begininng of the year I would not weigh myself. I find that when I do that it becomes a numbers thing, not a weight loss thing. I won't get on a scale until my birthday. I was weighed at the doctors right before Thanksgiving. So I have a starting point.

A Year in Review

Thursday, January 02, 2014

These were my goals for last year:

I am planning on using the Jamie Easton workouts. Didn't do

I am going to try to loose 30 pounds by the end of March. Only 2 pounds a week.... doable! Didn't do

I am going to get my Thirty-one business off the ground. Sort of accomplished

I am going to be more active with my kids. Accomplished

I am going to take more me time. Accomplished

I am going to learn how to do more stitches with knitting and crocheting. Accomplished

I am going to work on being more organized. Sort of accomplished

I am going to make my dreams come true! Still working on this one! emoticon

Even though most of what I wanted to do last year didn't happen, that doesn't mean anything to me... The things that I did accomplish are the things that really matter! My kids, my peace of mind and my dreams, those are the things that truly matter.

I don't have resolutions this year. I have goals. All of them are small and easy to attain.

I'm still using the fitbit. 10k for the first day of the year! WOO HOO!

I'm juicing 1x a day

I'm trying out the Paleo way of life.

I still want to be down 50 pounds by my birthday. We will see though... emoticon
