Starting tomorrow I am going to really fill up early in the day. Maybe eat 6 meals throughout the day. I seem to find myself at dinner time with still almost half of my calories to get in. I think it is because I am so accustomed to eating low carb, low fat, etc so my calories just don't add up even though I have eaten enough to fill me up. Maybe next week when my grand daughter is at camp, I will make a list of various meals with all of the proper nutrition so I can just pick and choose.

    I understand your dilemma. I don't really have time to eat much during the day while at work. At night I am starving and eat my largest meal (which I've always heard is not good). Sometimes I push to get in all the calories. I am glad you are still trying. We can do this! emoticon

Today was a good day. I ate right and made my nutritional goal for a change. Usually I do not eat enough.

    GOOD JOB! Just to give you a tip, try to make sure you're eating enough. If you don't at least meet the minimum, you can put your body into survival mode, which will hurt your metabolism and make is so you can't lose weight. So good luck on eating enough everyday!

It should be a good week coming up and a healthy one. After church I went to the store and bought fruits and vegetables for the weeks meals.

    Good for you! I also stocked up and fruits and veggies. I had melon and papaya chunks for breakfast. I normally would have had a fat breakfast taco loaded with calories and 3 cups of coffee...that was 3 months ago! I have committed to a healthier lifestyle!

I feel confident that with the help of SparkPeople I am going to be able to lose the weight that I need to and by keeping in touch with SparkPeople, I will be able to keep it off. It's not like I all of a sudden get on the scales and see I have gained it back. I have faithfully weighed every Saturday morning for seven years so when I gained it back, I saw it happening. How dumb is that?? But I was only accountable to me and that just doesn't do it!! Thanks SparkPeople!!

    How many people have told me, "You didn't put the weight on overnight. You won't take it off overnight". Yet, I am impatient because when I do everything right, and the scale doesn't move, I get frustrated. Like yesterday I got very sick about 2:00, achy, nauseous, chills and went to bed without supper. I slept 4 hours before the news at 6:00, went to bed at 9:00 and slept pretty well, considering the thunder and lightning all night. Yet this morning I hadn't lost an ounce! Totally not fair!! Proof positive that the scale is not our only judge and jury.

My goal is to lose 2 pounds a week by weigh-in on Friday and I'm starting to make continual progress IF I do everything right all week. It is the constant passion to make the right choices to meet my goal. I'm even happy for a one pound loss to tell you the truth. I know I'm getting healthier with each healthy choice I make.

So, here's to your health, Arlene, no matter what the scale shows. Our gain is our pain but our health is our wealth. Here's to a grandtabulous week. emoticon
