Well...at least now my blog will be shorter.
I'm having trouble figuring out how to find others who are in the same place as me ...I'm not ready for all these people who are 100lbs down and doing races etc...

I need to get thru the next couple of days.
I have the most insane headache ever....but had the same problem when i started Atkins...so i'm sure its a sugar issue.
I cook from scratch and never eat after supper...but counting calories has really opened my eyes into my habits...(like no more eating the crusts off my kids PB&J sandwiches)
And my margerine/butter habit...i think i save 400-600 calories a day cutting that out...and really...i haven't missed it...I'll just have to stay away from Corn on the cob :)

Now how do i find blogs from other members starting out....I'll have to keep looking...because boy was it a surprise when i found people had actually responded to my first blog. I cried...and wasn't feeling so much alone.

My god this is not going to be easy...i have to make some serious changes.
I hate feeling like i'm starving all the time....I hope this goes away.
I refuse to give up everything I love...but it looks like i will have to give up most of them. I guess i have to figure out how bad i want this.... emoticon

  Wow...Just when i was feeling incredibly alone ... i realized some people heard me. Thanks everyone!

I think i have some sugar issues....I'm was eating without knowing. I thought i was doing a good job before....i make everything from scratch and I never eat after dinner...but man...as soon as i started counting calories...did i ever notice a change...
I'm addicted to margerine ..that is for sure...I've managed to avoid it for three days ...and really dont miss it that much...I'll just have to stay away from corn :)

I've lost 3 lbs ...which makes me hopeful but this insane headache is killing me...but i guess like any other detox....I'll have to fight through a little rough patch...thanks for the support...i really do appreciate it :)

    Find foods you like that are heavy and stay with you and work with them, also don't try to eat at the bottom of your calories for the day stay toward the top. I have found that if you feel hungry your body is going to react to that and you'll go into starvation mode. You want to feel satisfied neither full or hungry when you have finished a meal. Also go back and recheck your calories to make sure you are getting enough for your current exercise level. There is a point when your body won't lose no matter how little you eat, and sometimes it takes eating more to get things moving.

Find some good low calorie snacks for in between times when your hungry. One of my favorites is baby carrots because they satisfy my need for a crunchy treat and they are just sweet enough to make me feel like I've cheated...lol. I can eat a whole bag small bag for less than 100 calories. If you don't like carrots ask around there are lots of treat and snack ideas on the site.

Don't be hungry... it won't work. Feel satisfied and you'll stick with it.

    It is going to be alright and not so hard. You don't have to do everything at once. I agree with MRSCARLENE start slow with one change at a time. I started with eliminating the snacks first not as often, not so many to now it is a very rare treat.

Also, get involved with SP. Write a blog, earn points, read other SP blogs, get motivated and inspired by others here on SP who have taken the journey you have decided to take. Read about what is a healthy lifestyle and the benefits of moving our bodies. This is an awesome place and it works.

    What you want is to be happy and healthy. Your mind has to come first. Take one change at a time. And NO starving. There are so many foods to eat to make you feel full and satisfied. What I did first was get rid of the "bad" foods. Chips, cookies etc. Just until you get your emotions under control. Have you thought about some goals? It sometimes helps to have a plan in place.

Don't beat yourself up. This is your life and you need to make it the best ever! Good luck! We are all here for each other.
